Santa Evita

Had a somewhat quiet evening yesterday. After a weekend of spinning the Evita OST, I decided it was time to watch the movie again, since I haven't done that since 2003. I watched it with my now ex-boyfriend back then, and a couple of days later he dumped me, thus giving the movie a bad memory. That's two and a half years ago now, so it was okay again to watch it. Like it very much, by the way (do you sound surprised?).

The good thing about spending an evening on the couch, is that you don't have any trouble waking up the next morning. Usually I really have to drag myself out of bed. Once I'm at the office, it's fine, but before that it's living hell. Not this morning, so I arrived with no problems. I'm having a couple of metings today, so it's good to feel all refreshed!

Tonight I'm having a drink with my former fraternity, so that's nice. All in all, it's not such a bad day!

Enough already

This past weekend went by way too fast, but was a hell of a lot of fun! Saturday afternoon I went shopping and had a drink with a couple of friends. Saturday evening I went clubbing and got totally drunk hehe. Needless to say, I didn't make it to go swimming on sunday afternoon, so instead I hooked up with some friends. Sunday evening was a couch-night, watching The Ring 2. I've seen that one in the cinema, but I bought it on DVD. Scary shit, but not as scary as part 1 was.

So now the weekend's over, and we're at the start of what already seems to become a very busy week. Meetings all over the place, cause we're hiring a couple of temps for next month. Definitely not looking forward to it, I feel like I could use another weekend already. Oh well, hope everything works out well.

Pissed off

My long-awaited date fell through today, so I'm kinda pissed off at the moment.Definitely not a good way to start your saturday. Even worse, someone called me out of bed tonight at about 5, waking me up when I was finally asleep. Grr, this is not a good day! Guess I have to go shopping to fix myself up! Every reason to go shopping is a good one.

Last night I had a fun night with a couple of friends. We drank some (well, a lot of) wine and watched Madonna's Girlie Show. Always a nice way to spent the evening! Eating pizza is something I don't have to do so often though, we don't want to get fat, do we?

So now I've spent the entire morning doing absolutely nothing, which is nice for a change! Now all I have to do is find someone to go out with tonight, cause I definitely don't wanna sit around at home on a saturday night...

Up and running

The week went by pretty fast, and all of a sudden it's friday already! Just one day of work left and the weekend is up and running! I'm not exactly sure if I'm having plans this weekend. I have this sorta vague dat tomorrow, but I'm not sure yet if it will take place indeed. Just have to wait and see I suppose.

Then sunday of course I have to go swimming, but let's not jump ahead. This afternoon, right after work, I'm having a drink with my friends. The good thing about doing that on a friday afternoon, is that you don't have to give a fuck about getting up early the next morning. Obviously that calls for total drunkeness hehe.

Well, time for a smoke, have a great weekend!

What a waste

It's a very stressful day... I'm interviewing co-workers for a survey and I fucking hate it. It seems like such a stupid waste of the day, so I decided to really go and waste it, by leaving at 3 this afternoon. Time for a bit of shopping!

On the Madonna side: she's in talks with Jean Paul Gaultier as we speak, to come up with ideas for the costumes for the Confessions World Tour! That sounds promising!

Slippery when wet

I'm up for an extremely busy day, with meetings following each other up all afternoon. Actually I'm looking forward to it, because I had a hard time getting up this morning, knowing that I would have to work till late. Meetings tend to make your day go faster.

This morning it was very slippery in Holland, so many of my co-workers came in late, making it an even more busy day. Fortunately, I have plans for tonight, going for a drink with my friend Niels. Obviously I can't make it too late, since there's another workday coming up tomorrow, but still, it's nice to know that you're doing something in the evening, instead of just haging on the couch watching sitcoms.

In addition, I'm very happy, because yesterday the first tour dates of the Madonna Confessions 06 World Tour were announced. Five shows at the Shea Stadium in New York City, two shows at the Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, and ending the tour in Australia (Sydney Cricket Grounds?). I hope the European dates will be announced shortly after this as well, so the big rush for tickets can start again. I remember from Re-Invention this as a stressfull, but lovely time! Can't wait!

Freezing my ass off

Woke up this morning in what felt like a total blizzard. Well, there wasn't any snow involved, but it was (and still is) sooooo cold! I hate the winter, I hate ice and I hate snow. I wish I could be one of those smart animals that just go to sleep for the entire winter and come back to life for spring. Or, alternatively, just live somewhere where it's summer all year long, like Australia.

Good thing it's warm at work, and that hopefully I can leave early today...

Too kind, they said

Had my meeting about why I didn't get the job this morning. As it turns out, I'm 'too kind' for the position. Me, too kind? Oh well, guess they don't really know me haha. Anyway, I was kinda relieved by this, because it is the opposite of what I expected them to say (that I'm a horrible person). Besides, this is something I can work on, so I think it was a very positive conversation.

Aside from that, it looks like this is going to be a very boring monday, and I can't wait to get home, even though it's not even lunch time yet. Yesterday, I had a great evening with Annelies; we watched The Girlie Show and the Drowned World Tour (by, who else, the ever so fabulous Madonna) with a nice glass of wine. Evenings with Annelies are always great, but unfortunately don't happen ver often anymore, because of our busy schedules, so it was very nice seeing each other again.

Well, back to work for me. Have a good day!

Wet and wild

It's sunday again, so it's swimming time this afternoon (hence the title of this post). Woke up early this morning, because clubbing stank yesterday. Felt like I was in a giant meat hall or something, there was this thing where everybody just wanted to have sex, and they couldn't care with whom. Not a very pleasent atmosphere... So I left very early and just went to bed. I coudn't be bothered really.

So I woke up this morning and was quite happy (for non-disclosable -as of yet- reasons) and still am! Looking forward to going swimming, and tonight my good friend Annelies comes over for a visit. Probably we'll spent the entire evening watching Madonna dvds, which I think is a great pastime.

Rise and shine

Had a fun night yesterday, with my good friend Bo coming over for a beer. He's moving to Utrecht in a couple of weeks, so it was nice seeing him before he left. Of course, both of us had to go to work this morning, so we couldn't pull an all-nighter, but nonetheless, it was fun.

Then when I woke up this morning, I felt like total shit for some reason. It couldn't have been a hang-over, since we only had 4 beers yesterday. So first I was thinking I was coming down with the flu, which would be fucked up right before the weekend. Anyway, now I'm at work for about an hour and a half, and everything's fine. Don't know what happened, maybe I should eat more fruit or something (and smoke less...)

Anyway, as it turned out, my co-worker Angelique has to stay until 6 'o clock, meaning that I can leave early and make a head start this weekend. So, this promises to be a good day, hope you all have the same!

Rumor has it

Went to the movies last night after a great dinner at a Greek restaurant with Anneke. We went to Rumor Has It, starring Jennifer Anniston, Shirley McClain and Kevin Costner. Really great movie, I highly recommend seeing it!

Also, my new phone is in, as mentioned yesterday and I'm thrilled about it. Funny how things like phones can actually make you very happy. It came with a over-hundred page booklet that I haven't read yet, so most of the new functions are way past me. Guess I'll have to find out how everything works tonight.

The good thing about getting a new phone, is that it gave me a reason to visit the Orange Shop, where this gorgeous guy works that I really want to wake up with sometimes. Ha! Now that he has both my phone number and e-mail, I'll just have to wait. Oops, but of course he cannot use those since he only got them because of his job. Haha, time for some accecoiries shopping!

In addition to that, I strongly believe in name-tags for people who work in retail, so you can google them! Next time I visit, I'll hint for that. For now, have a good day everyone!

Fun with my phone

Woosh, I'm getting a new cell phone tonight: a Motorola Razor. I'm thrilled about it, cause I think it's the most fucking awesome type around. I actually sorta cheated myself into it, by saying my phone is broken. It's not totally un-true, cause it switches off all the time, but still, not exactly fact either. Well, don't give a damn, I'm a happy camper!

Want to see it? Go to www.motorola.com (and this made me a spammer :-) )

Thank God it's friday

This past week went by pretty fast and the weekend is near! Tonight, I'm having a party with a nice theme: beer is getting less expensive if we drink more. Should be managable hehe!

What else to do this weekend? Shopping perhaps? Sounds nice! Tomorrow night I think I'm going out, but a viit to my parents could also be in the cards. Hmz, so many choices, such a short weekend...

Anyway, I wish everyone a nice weekend,n take care, love to you all!

Back on track

As it turned out, there wasn't such a big problem with my internet connection at all. Only thing was the router was broken, but fortunately enough my housemate fixed it, so I'm back online!

Yesterday I had some fun having a drink with two of my best friends, which was nice, albeit a little too late, so I had real difficulty in getting out of bed this morning. Luckily enough I managed to get to work in time, so now I'm busy with loads of numbers that I have to figure out.

Time for a smoke I suppose!

My internet has been down at my house since yesterday. Dman, I didn't even know I was such a web-junkie, but I've missed it all evening. Now the only place I can get online is at work, although large parts of the internet have been websensed here.

My housemate is trying to fix it today, so hopefully it will be up and running by the time I get off from work tonight. If it doesn't, I have to spend another evening figuring out what to do. It's pathetic really, to be so depending on something as trivial as internet. Still, I guess it's a habit that just sort of crwaled itself in...

So, if I'm not posting regularly this coming week, you'll know the reason for it.

Job talk

So, I just had my job application talk, and I'm not sure what to think of it. I think it went pretty well, but I have no idea if 'they' had that same impression. Now all I can do is wait, which can take up to two weeks. Aaaaargh!

Confessions 06

Time for a Madonna update, since I haven't been up to much more than just working today. It's going great with Madonna's hit album Confessions On A Dance Floor. Last week she crossed the 4 million albums sold (that's right, sold, not just shipped) mark and the new single Sorry is on its way, destined to give the album another boost. Actually, there still quite a few countries where the album is still holding the #1 chart spot.

So that leads up to the next step: the Confessions 06 World Tour.Rumours are flying about as to where she's going to bring her new show. One thing's for sure: the tour will happen, as Madonna has already announced it in several interviews. Very good news! In the meantime, we can keep ourselves busy with the release of two DVDs: I'm Going To Tell You A Secret and the Re-Invention World Tour 2004: Live from Lisbon

So as you can see, 2006 will be another great Madonna year! All hail to the Queen!

Fingers crossed

First working day of 2006 and fuck I'm tired! It's difficult to get back in the rythm of everyday life... Still, it was nice seeing all of my co-workers and wishing them a happy new year!

In two days I'm having a job application for a higher function, so I'm gonna stay home at night for the next couple of days. Would be really cool if I got the job, cause that would mean the second upgrade in less than ten months. Fingers crossed!

For now, I'm going back to my couch and watch useless television, which isn't all that bad after a loooooong day like this one was.

Another year's over

Well well, the new year had begun! Had a great New Year's Eve yesterday, with loads of champagne and many of my friends around me. Stayed up till 7 this morning, and wasn't even completely hung-over. Tired I am though, so it's bedtime for me!

Hope everyone had a great night as well!
