City trip

Even though it's only Thursday, in just a few hours my weekend starts! I'm going to Den Bosch, where E. will pick me up from the station. We're going to celebrate his brother's birthday with a nice dinner, so I expect to have a great evening.

We'll spend the night at his brother's place, and then tomorrow we'll drive to Cologne. I'm very excited about this, since I've never been there before, and as you may know I love city trips, even for just one day!

Then Saturday we'll probably do nothing, and Sunday we're going to my parent's, which is something I'm pretty excited about! It's going to be a good weekend!

Cheers!

Busy but happy

It's noon and this is the first moment today I actually have time to do something else than running around full of stress. It has been an extremely busy morning at work, but thank God things are cooling down a bit now. This afternoon I have to train some people, which is quite fun and not stressfull at all, so that will sorta compensate for this morning.

Yesterday after work I went to a pub with Anneke, where we had a few drinks. It was a great evening. Anneke and I don't see each other as much as we used to, mostly because of our jobs and boyfriends, but when we do meet up, we're always in for a fun evening.

After the drinks, E. and I talked on the phone for quite some time, which was, as always, very good! Even though we get to see each other during weekends only, the phone brings us close to each other each day. And after all, I'll see him again in just two days, so I have no reason to complain at all. I'm just so damn happy with him I'd like to see him every day. Oh well, who knows what the future will bring! Maybe one day I'll move to Breda, you never know...

The perfect moment

Allow me to take a minute to talk about my fantastic weekend! Friday at about 7 PM< my co-worker Ziena came to pick me up to drive me to Breda. After a fun drive, I arrived at about 10 PM at E.'s place, where his parents where visiting for a drink. It was very nice seeing them again, so we had a drink with the four of us. After they left, we watched a movie and went to bed.

Saturday we had breakfast on the balcony and then went swimming. It was a bit chilly in the water, but the beach was fine with good sunshine! After that, E. took me for a tour through his childhood, so we drove through some adorable towns, and also visited his work in Waalwijk. We went home for a short while and then headed for Antwerpen, where we had drinks with friends of his.

So then the most fantastic thing happened: E. told me he loves me!!! This was the first time he actually said it, so as you can imagine, I'm thrilled! I told him that I love him too, which is absolutely the truth, and that made him very happy as well. Imagine what a good night we had once we got home hehe.

On Sunday we went for brunch in town, but due to the rain unfortunately we had to sit indoors. Never mind though, it was delightful! We then watched a movie at home, after which Ziena came to pick me up for a long, but fun, drive back to Groningen. This weekend was abolutely perfect!!!

Breakaway

It's Friday, so tonight, right after work,I'll hop in my co-worker Ziena's car and head for Breda, where E. and I will spend the entire weekend together! I'm thrilled, cause it's been 4 days since I last saw him, and I miss him a lot. We talked on the phone yesterday and decided that tonight we're just going to rent a movie and lay on the couch together and cuddle up.

Then tomorrow we'll probably go to Antwerpen for some shopping and drinking, which is also very nice. Come to think of it, it's just great to be in his company, so no matter what we're doing, I'm 100% sure we'll have a fantastic time!

Isn't it great how much you can grow attached to someone in just 4 weeks time? I feel like I know E. for a lot longer now, and I'm thinking about him constantly when we're not around each other. I really do believe he's the best boyfriend I've ever had, and I'm totally crazy about him.

So, of course this means I won't be around for posting this weekend, but I'm sure you can forgive me for that! Have a great weekend, cause I know I will!

Match of the day

Yesterday's world cup match ended up in a dissapointing 0-0, but it was still fun to watch regardless of the outcome. The good thing about a World Cup is the fact that you're allowed to drinks loads of beer and sing silly songs. I love it!

Also, my boyfriend and I called each other several times yesterday, so that made me quite happy as well. Tomorrow evening I will see him again, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Again, a short post, but I promise this will get better! Cheers!

Happiness is a warm gun

I'm in such a good mood today! My boyfriend called me during my lunch break just to tell me that he misses me. Isn't that the sweetest thing? It made me realise all the more how happy I am to have a boyfriend. I really miss him too, but thank God I'll see him again on Friday, and we'll spend the entire weekend together. Can't wait for that!!!

Also, things are going very well for me at work, so that's a good reason to be happy as well! Funny how, when things are going well in one part of your life, they suddenly seem to be going well in every aspect. I guess I'm at my happiest since a very long time!

So, I'll keep this post short and sweet, and get some work done, so talk to you again tomorrow!

Madonna's AIDS message

These notes, written by Madonna herself, are being handed out before Confessions shows.

A bad mood

It's a bit of a weird day in Holland, weather-wise: it's kinda hot but then there is this cold breeze that doesn't exactly make it all that comfy. Whenever I go for a smoke I get a bit chilly. It doesn't help my mood, either, since I woke up with anything but a smile on my face, for no apparant reason. It's a bit better now, but still not quite happy. I guess I just miss E., can't wait to see him again this Friday!

Crazy for you

Again, I had an absolutely delightful weekend! After watching Holland winning the World Cup match against Ivory Coast on Friday, I was in a bit of a euphoric mood, so me and my mates had some drinks, after which I went home to watch my new I'm Going To Tell You A Secret DVD and listen to my Re-Invention CD. So far so good since I had to get up early the day after to go to E., and of course I had a long train ride ahead of me.

So, on Saturday I headed for Breda where E. picked me up from the station. We biked our way to a terrace where we had a couple of beers, and then went home to get ready for a garden party. This was a bit scary, since his entire family would be there, and of course I'm not dating E. that long, so as you can imagine I was a bit apprehensive about this. Boy was I wrong! His family was really nice and they seemed to like me very much. I got along with them great, so now I'm invited to his brother's birthday dinner next week, and to go along on their family weekend. It may seem a bit early form stuff like that, but I'm enjoying it a lot, so I don't mind one bit.

On Sunday we rose early, packed our stuff (wine, for the most of it) and went to the beach for some swimming and sunbathing. Both E. and I got totally sunburned, but all in all it was a very nice afternoon. When we got home we watched the movie Birth starring Nicole Kidman, and I was shocked to see that Nicole was actually capable of playing lousy movies. Oh well, Nicole's Nicole so I still love her.

The train ride back was complete hell, since the first two and a half hours I was in a train with no air conditioning while it was a very hot day. Fortunately, I survived, so here I am at work looking back on a fantastic weekend. The more I see E., the more crazy I get for him! I miss him very much now that I'm not around him, but I'm seeing him again very soon!

Have a great day everyone!

Stupid mistake

So it turned out my whole bank problem wasn't fraud at all, but just a very very stupid mistake by my bank. Another person with the same name as me was moving, and the accidentally transferred my account instead of his. Needless to say, I'm furious about all this and I'm waiting for them to call me back so that I can swear the shit out of them. I'm even thinking of switching banks, although there might be too much of a hassle involved in doing that, so I will think that over for a bit before I make any decisions.

On the good side, today is the release date of I'm Going To Tell You A Secret, Madonna's Re-Invention tour documentary, which comes along with a live cd from that tour. I'm very excited about this, and I can't wait till I get of work so that I can rush to the record store. Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch it today cause I'm off to E. later today, but I can listen to the cd in the train, which is good enough for me as it is. Then again, I found out I have to stay at work really late, so maybe it's better that I go to Breda tomorrow instead of today, but the thing is I really want to see him. I think I'm going to call him this afternoon to discuss options. If he doesn't mind me coming in no sooner than 12-ish, then I won't either, but if it means he will be very tired already by the time, maybe it's better to take the first train tomorrow morning. We'll see...

Credit card hijack

The oddest thing happened to me today. I was trying to buy a Confessions Tour dvd online when Paypal refused my credit card for no apparant reason. So I called my bank to ask them what's up, and you know what? It turned out that both my bank account and my credit card aren't listed on my address anymore, but on two different addresses in Volendam, which is a place I've never even been in my life. What's even weirder, is that on one of these addresses lives a guy with the same surname as I have.

Obviously, I was freaked out by all this, so I left work temporarely to pay my bank a visit and report this to the police. It turns out that on may 31 this year, someone made a phone call to my bank regarding my credit card number, to gain information about it. Fortunately enough the bank employee didn't trust it, and blocked my card, so that explains why I wasn't able to buy the dvd. So they've put everything back on my address and I'll receive a new credit card in a few days.

Still, I'm totally freaked out because of this, since obviously someone has access to my account and I don't have a clue how this has happened. Usually when I purchase something, like concert tickets, on the web, I use a computer at work because of the very solid firewall. I did use it on my home computer once though, so maybe there's the leak? I don't know, but I'm a bit scared now. The bank will call me back after their investigation, so I hope that will happen soon.

#1 Crush

Did I have a fabulous weekend or what? On friday, saturday and the morning of sunday I was out camping with a group of people, which was just generally fun. It was really cool seeing Vanessa and Stance again, since I usually only see them at this particular weekend. Vanessa brought her boyfriend with her, so it was very nice meeting him. For the rest of the camping weekend, I was wasted most of the time, so I don't really remember that much hehe.

Then on Sunday afternoon, I went to Utrecht by train, where E. was going to pick me up in his car to go to Breda. I missed him a lot after not seeing him for an entire week, so I was really happy in going there, and I wasn't dissapointed one bit. The weekend was fantastic! When we got to his place we had a drink on his balcony, but I was so very tired that we decided to take a nap, even though it was almost too hot in Holland to sleep. After that, we rented the movie Bewitched (starring my favourite actress of all times Nicole Kidman) and had some snacks. Then we drove to Antwerpen to celebrate the birthday of one of E.'s best friends. This is where the really good stuff comes in line: we drank bottles of champagne on a terrace in Antwerpen and I felt like a total decadent yup, but in a good way!

Anyway, at about 1-ish we drove back home cause E. had to go to work on Monday. I on the other hand was enjoying another day off, so I decided to go and check out Breda. It's a lovely city and the weather was great, so what I did was having drinks and food on terraces and doing a bit of shopping. I made sure to get back to E.'s place before he did, so that I could pour him a drink after his day at work. Then we took a bit of a drive through Breda and then made dinner. Unfortunately, this concluded my stay with him, but fortunately enough I'm seeing him again this Friday, when he's due to staying over at my place.

And you know what? I really really really like this guy! I enjoy his company, I laugh on his jokes, he's totally gorgeous and hot, and he's just great. This is actually the first guy I've met who I'm not comparing to my ex-boyfriend R., and it just feels so good to finally find someone that I can really like again. I dare not speak of love yet of course, since we don't know each other that long, but I definitely do believe that this could really grow into something. I even got invited to go on a weekend break to the Belgian shore in july, how cool is that?

I'm very happy right now, and I'm hoping with all there is to hope that this may go on for a very, very long time! Cheers!!

No time to waste

A short post today, since I'm in a bit of a hurry: I'm going to Dronten with a group of people to have some fun and drink some booze, and then on Sunday I'm off to Breda to see E.

It's going to be a good weekend, I hope it's the same for you!

Tribute to Johanneke

Yay, at 4.30-ish my weekend starts, and it won't end till thuesday, so as you can imagine, I'm a happy camper! Tomorrow I'm going -hard to imagine knowing me- camping, and then on Sunday I'm going to Breda to see E., which is something I'm totally looking forward to!

Also, I decided to get a bit of a jump start on the weekend by having a beer with my co-worker Ziena tonight, so that's gonna be fun.

For the rest, I don't really have a lot to write about today, so I guess I'm just gonna go and get some work done, except that I promised Johanneke yesterday I was going to mention her name on my blog, so here goes: Johanneke, I love you! :-)

Till we meet again

Did I mention already how happy I am? Yesterday, I've been on the phone with E, and we send each other a couple of text messages. We decided we're going to see each other this Sunday already, instead of next week (well, we're still going to see each other next week, this is just an extra visit which makes me very happy). I can't wait to see him again. It's funny how easily you can grow attached to someone and miss that person when he or she isn't around. That's exactly what's happening to me right now, I want to be around E. all the time, but of course that's not possible. Good thing I'm seeing him this weekend!

Work was hellish yesterday. 3 Co-workers called in sick so I had an extremely busy day. I actually came home feeling pretty exhausted. Today, thank God, is a lot better, so let's try and keep it that way!

That';s it for today, I really need a cigarette so I'll talk to you guys again tomorrow!

Cheers!

A fabulous weekend

As I promised last Saturday, I want to tell you guys something about my absolutely delightful date last Friday/Saturday. I didn't have the time to write this before, so here goes:

Friday after work I jumped on a train to Breda, being very very nervous on how things would go. After all, even though we had great conversations on the phone, in the end I didn't know E. in real life. So, I spend the entire 3.5 hour ride psyching myself up, and when I eventually got to Breda, it turned out this was all for no reason... I instantly liked E. very much, and it was as if we knew each other very well already. Not to mention the fact he is even better looking in person than he was in a picture.

Anyway, we went to his place and had a couple of drinks there, and then decided we were going to Bruxelles for a couple of more drinks. This in itself is really cool for me, since I live in the north of Holland and can't go there just for a drink. From Breda though, it's not a very long drive and it was absolutely great. We ended up in this really tacky karaoke bar and had a good laugh.

At about three in the morning we drove back to Breda and went to bed (no details here hehe). The next morning, he made me a really nice breakfast, after which we went for a drink in a hotel in the middle of a forest, which was very nice in the sun. One drink turned into two drinks, and then we went to downtown Breda for some shopping and another drink. After that, unfortunately, I had to head back home, for another very long train ride.

The good thing is, this entire date was fabulous. I really really really like E. Well, to be honest, I'm totally in love with him, and I can't wait to see him again. The bad thing is, he lives so far away from me. He'll come and visit me in two weeks and spend the entire weekend in Groningen then, and I'm already looking forward to that very much. In the mean time, we call and text each other all the time, which may not be the real thing, but at least counts as a good substitute.

So, as I mentioned yesterday, I'm very happy right now, and I can't wait to see him again!

A happy Theo

A short post, cause I've gotta go, but I just want to say my date was absolutely fantastic! We went to Bruxelles instead of Antwerpen, and it was just delightfull!

E. Is even more of a great (and awfully handsome) guy in person than I thought! I'm happy!!!!

Tension,apprehension

So today's the big day of me going to Breda and Antwerpen with my date E. I'm looking forward to it very much, but also I'm a bit apprehensive about it, since this is basically the first time I've ever done something like this. You know, I've been on blind dates once in a while, but it's a bit different, for at least you know the person who set you up with your date, while this time it's completely new to me. Then again, we talked over the phone quite a bit and he does seem awefully nice, so I just go in with an open mind and see what happens.

All this is due for tonight, but let's not forget about yesterday night. Anneke and I went to The Da Vinci Code, and I hate to say it, but I didn't really like the movie. I thought it was way too long and it kinda lost me in the end. Maybe I should have read the book first, cause Anneke did ike the movie and she had read it. Well, it wasn't like I hated the movie, it just didn't live up to my expectations which is a bit of a shame.

Anyway, after the movie we went to Chaplin's Pub, where this horrible guy named Bob Color performed. He called himself the human jukebox, which basically meant that the patrons could request songs from a long list and then he'd sing them to them. All this may sound like a very nice idea, if it weren't for the fact that this guy had an absolute horrible voice. I mean, I know I can't sing, but at least I don't pretend I can by singing in public places like this. So as you can imagine, Anneke and I had a bit of a laugh and then flew the place.

So, wish me luck tonight, and let's hope it's a good one!

Live up to the hype

Today has been a good day at work! I was kinda busy but I only did stuff that I like, so the day went by pretty fast. In just half an hour I get off so I'm going to town to buy some stuff and then go to the movies with my friend Anneke. We're going to see The Da Vinci Code, cause I really want to know if it lives up to the hype.

Then tomorrow of course I'm going to Breda to see E. which is something I'm really looking forward to. I hope it's gonna be as much fun as I'm imagining it to be, but I'm sure it will be.

So anyway, a short post today, cause I have to finish some stuff at work. See ya tomorrow!
