Get CARRIEd away

It's coming: the Sex and the City movie is upon us! In the US, the movie has opened this week, but here in the Netherlands we need to have just a little more patience. Starting June 12 the long-awaited adventures of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte will finally make it to the big screen.

I've got all 6 seasons from the HBO series on DVD, so as you can imagine I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie! I'm not exactly sure whether or not I want Carrie and Mr. Big to get married (I'm actually one of the view people who hasn't read the spoilers yet, so I honestly don't know). In a way it would make for a great ending, but on the other hand... wasn't this show about the virtues of being single?

No matter what the outcome, I can't wait for opening night!

Sweet sales

This great press release is making it's way to newspapers and internet publications. Can't wait for september, when I will be in the audience 3 times!

More "Sweet" Sales for Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour!
Stadiums & Arenas Sell Out in Record Time; Paris - Stade de France - Sept. 20th - 80,000 Tickets Sold; 2nd Show Added Sept. 21st Due to Overwhelming Demand - on Sale June 4th; Zurich - Military Airfield Dubendorf - Aug. 30th - 70,000 Tickets Sold; Vancouver - BC Place Stadium - Oct. 30th - 50,000 Tickets Sold

Los Angeles, May 27 - Ticket sales for Madonna's highly anticipated Sticky & Sweet Tour continued to explode throughout Europe and North America, it was confirmed by the tour's producer, Live Nation.
The demand for tickets in Paris for Madonna's scheduled September 20th performance was so staggering that a second and final performance has just been announced for September 21st.
The Sticky & Sweet Zurich show at the Military Airfield Dubendorf scheduled for August 30th has just glided past the 70,000 mark as Madonna fans buy tickets in record breaking numbers for that show as well as in Vancouver, where Madonna's October 30th performance sold 50,000 tickets in a record breaking 29 minutes.

In addition, due to instant sellouts in Toronto at Air Canada Centre on October 18th and Montreal at the Bell Centre on October 22nd, second shows in both markets have been added -- October 19th in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre and October 23 at Montreal's Bell Centre.
These new sellout performances add to a list of sellouts that already include three sold out Madison Square Garden shows in New York City on October 6, 7 and 11 and sellouts in Boston and Chicago where a second show October 27th at the United Center will go on sale on June 2nd.
Additional Madonna shows on sale this weekend include: Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Miami, Las Vegas, Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Atlantic City.
The Sticky & Sweet Tour, where Madonna once again joins creative forces with director Jamie King, is expected to surpass her previous sold out Confessions Tour in terms of production, visual enhancement, technology, dancing, singing, costumes and nonstop entertainment.

A special stage is being created to showcase Madonna, her band, and a stunning troop of dancers, all of which will give fans a breathtaking never before seen or heard once-in-a- lifetime experience.

Madonna recently gave fans a preview of what they might expect at promotional shows in New York, Paris and the UK which received overwhelming raves from critics and fans. Madonna's current CD "Hard Candy" which debuted at the number one slot in 37 countries remains the number one CD on Billboard's European album chart along with holding the number one single spot on Billboard's European single chart with the smash hit "4 Minutes." In the US, "Hard Candy" has remained a Top 10 album since its release.

Are we back in the Eastern Block?

Yesterday evening I went to go look at my potential new appartment, as mentioned before. I took Ziena along with me, to get a second opinion, but as it turned out, a second opinion was absolutely rendundant. The place was a complete dumpster... It instantly made me feel as if I'd walked into Eastern Europe, which is not a desirable way of living.

I was really dissapointed, since I've been looking for a new place to live for so long now, with not much succes so far. Now that I finally was assigned something, I was pretty happy and really hoping for it to be any good, but really, it wasn't. It wasn't even as if you'd think a little paint could do miracles, it was just plain horrible.

I'm not extremely happy with where I'm living right now, which is of course why I want to leave in the first place. However, I do believe I will hold out for just a little longer if needs be. One can sign on for three houses of choice per forthnight, so I immediately went back online to select my three new options. Hopefully next week I will get another invitation to go check one out. This is of course just speculating, but I need to keep my hopes up.

In the meantime, I will just continue to live where I live. It´s not like I live in a cardboard box or something. I just think it´s way too small, and I really want to move to someplace bigger. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Silencing the public

For some reason the folks over at One News Now, my favourite conservative nuthead website, have taken away the opportunity to leave commends on their insanely biased articles. The only stuff you seem to be able to respond on, are the blog entries, which are a lot less of a hoot then the so-called 'news' articles.

One can only wonder why this change has been made. I can think of at least one reason: there were too many people (people like me) disagreeing with the nonsense these guys put up on their site, so credibility was slowly fading away. Obviously they could have solved this problem pretty easy, by simply censoring their comments. 9 out of 10 comments I made weren't published anyway, so the censoring was already firmly in its place. You'd think they could have just continued this policy, and once in a while let some disagreeing comment slip through. That way, the audience would think almost everyone agrees with their stupid views, while still thinking everyone has a fair chance of getting their comments published.

Maybe it was simply there were just so many negative comments, it wasn't possible for their limited working capacity to filter them all out effectively. That would be a shame, since basically it's the comments that really made this site a hoot. The articles themselves are pretty funny as well, but without the responds, One News Now loses a little bit of that what made me come back everyday: brainless propaganda.

House hunting

Wow! When I got home yesterday, I checked my email to find an invitation for an appartment! As I've mentioned before, I'm franticly looking for a new place to live, as I'm totally sick of where I'm living right now. Now I finally have to chance to move, seeing that the decision is completely up to me. The appartment has only been offered to me, so if I want it, it's mine!

Tomorrow afternoon I'll leave the office early to go check it out. I need to decide before noon on Thursday, so there's not a lot of time. This is so exciting!

Good clean fun

As you all know by now, I'm a big fan of High School Musical. I was thinking about the reasons for this unusual departure of my every day entertainment mix. Obviously, one of the main reasons is because Zac Efron is in it, and I intend on marrying him. However, this is not the only justification for my latest craze.

I figured that probably the main reason (aside from Zac Efron), is because this is actually fun. I know I like stuff like American Pie and Eurotrip, which is like the opposite of High School Musical, but I have to say it's actually refreshing to see a movie that does not contain any swearing, violance or any other vice. This may sound very old, but it's good to see teenagers actually enjoying this, instead of watching movies where people's heads are blown off (or worse).

Obviously, being the gay guy I am, I also very much enjoy the musical aspect of this movie! The songs are really catchy and easy to sing along to. Basically patented Disney stuff, but as long as it does the job, who cares? I totally understand why the soundtrack went to the top of the Billboard chart.

So, now that I have been promoting High School Musical for about a week, I promise not to mention it ever again. Well, at least until October 22, when High School musical 3 will open in theatres!

Zac Efron, part 2

As my company has dumped a shitload of money on my bank account today, I decided I was allowed to go shopping! So, Ziena and I had lunch in my favourite restaurant and went to the record store afterwards. Bought myself some DVDs: High School Musical 2, South Park season 3 and Absolutely Fabulous season 3 (I already had the rest so I've got this show in its entire run now).

Afterwards, Ziena and I went for a couple of drinks on a patio and had dinner at McDonalds (I know that's very bad but we just couldn't control ourselves). When we got home we watched some South Park episodes and then of course High School Musical. Needless to say, Zac Efron looked even more hot than he did in the first installment.

Seriously, this guy is so extremely goodlooking it's almost mean to the rest of us. If I could only look just a little like him I would be on top of the world. Well, actually, if I could call him my boyfriend (or even a drunk one night stand) I would be the happiest guy in the world.

Ziena just left, and I'm about to go to bed. It was a great day!

Random ramblings

Tomorrow my friend Bo is coming over to have some beers, so as you can imagine I'm really looking forard to it. Bo and I obviously don't see each other as often as we used to, since he moved to Utrecht, so when we actually do meet I'm always very happy about it!

Before the weekend kicks off, I still got one day at the office left. I'm not exactly looking forward to spending the entire day indoors, since it looks like it's gonna be a great sunny day, which would be much beter spend somewhere in a park or on a beach. Maybe that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow afternoon!

Tonight there's a party I'm going to, after watching some more episodes of South Park. As I mentioned before, I'm a huge fan nowadays! I've got seasons 1 and 2 on DVD now, and I'm looking forward to buying the next! I can even watch them laughing out loud when I'm alone, so that says something!

I'm wishing you all a great weekend!

Give it 2 me

Check out these really cool still shots from Madonna's brand new upcoming video Give It 2 Me (incidentally, one of my very favourite songs from hard Candy, and the best song during the Hard Candy Promo Showcase in Olympia Paris).

This video's gonna be HOT!

I want to ride my bicycle

Now that I own a bicycle, I arrive an hour earlier at work, since I'm no longer a slave to public transport. The good thing about this, is that I can also leave an hour earlier. I'm sure in winter this will be no advantage whatsoever, but now that the weather is fine, I'd rather get up a little earlier in the morning if that means I can actually enjoy some sun at the end of the day.

The other good thing is, that as you know two nights a week I go swimming. Normally after work I had to eat my dinner as quickly as I could, since not only did I come from the office quite late, but also I needed to walk to the swimming pool, which also took about half an hour of my time. Now, with my bike, I can reduce all that time and actually have somewhat of an afternoon.

Secretely I'm also hoping all this biking will also help me reduce some weight. It's not like I'm fat or something, but being the gay guy I am, I can always lose some pounds!

No-one can be that goodlooking

It seems I'm actually getting some people coming over here looking for info or pictures of Zac Efron, since I posted I wanted to marry him a couple of days ago. Since I don't want to dissapoint my readers, I searched the web for some yummie yummie pics of my future husband. Sit back, and enjoy Zac Efron!

Could he be any more gorgeous?

Tickets for Dusseldorf

It just keeps on getting better and better. Eventim, the German official ticket outlet, organised a pre-sale for Madonna's Sticky & Sweet World Tour 2008, for people who were registered for their ticket alert. Of course I was one of them, so this afternoon at 1 I was able to buy my tickets for the show at the LTU Arena in Dusseldorf (on September 4), one day ahead of the general public! Also, Berlin (Olympic Stadium) and Frankfurt (Commerzbank Arena) went on pre-sale today.

This brings my total of Sticky & Sweet shows on 3 so far: September 2 at the Amsterdam Arena, september 4 at the LTU Arena Dusseldorf and september 20 at the Stade De France Paris. There's been talks about a second show in Paris on september 21, so if they materialize, I will be buying tickets for that show as well. Together with the Hard Candy Promo Show I've seen at Olympia Music Hall in Paris two weeks ago, will bring my 2008 Madonna total at a fantastic 5 shows!

28 and loving it

My birthday on Sunday has been a lot of fun! As I mentioned before, Ziena and I didn't go out on Saturday night, so I woke up quite early, just in time to do some cleaning before my parents were te arrive. It's nice to have some time on your hands, if there's one thing I can't stand it would be having to hurry on a Sunday morning.

My parents came over at about 2 and brought me a really cool new vacuum cleaner. My old one broke down two weeks earlier, so I really needed a new one. And not just any cleaner, either! It's a Princess, which is a very good brand, so I'm really happy with it!

Ziena and Arjen came over as well, so we had a great afternoon. My parents stayed quite long, so they must have enjoyed themselves! After they left, Ziena and Arjen stayed for some time so we enjoyed a couple of more glasses of wine. All in all, a very nice day!

Yesterday I got my new bike, so now finally I don't have to rely on fucked up public transport anymore. I couldn't be happier! I immediately used my new bike to get myself to the record store to spend my value coupons. Bought myself South Park season 2 and then went to Ziena to play on her new Wii game console.

Let me tell you something: I´ve never been to keen on computer games, but the Wii is no less than a miracle. We played tennis and bowling, and then Ziena came up with her Balance Bord, which is like the most fun ever. You can play balance games, play steps, go jogging and o on, all completely wireless. I will be a guest of Ziena's even more now then I have been before!

Zac Efron, my future husband

After seeing High School Musical for the second time in one weekend, I decided I definitely need to marry Zac Efron, the lead character in this fantastic movie (well actually, the reason why the movie is fantastic is because of the fact Zac is in it). I mean, just look at the picture on top of this post... could he be any more gorgeous?

Happy birthday to me

Today I turned 28, another year closer to the horrible 30... Well, it's not that bad! I already got some great presents: a CD value coupon from Mirjam and Remco, and two DVDs from Ziena: SOuth Park season 1, and High School Music (starring my future husband Zac Efron).

In about an hour, my parents are coming over, and I have no idea what they are going to bring me, so I'm pretty excited, as I always am when it comes to birthdays. I may be 28, but on my birthday I could just as easily be 12!

Sticky & Sweet Amsterdam poster

The golden cage

We've got this wonderfull reality soap opera in Holland, called De Gouden Kooi (The Golden Cage), produced by Endemol (the same company that produced Big Brother, which is, in fact an original Dutch program). The big difference between Big Brother and De Gouden Kooi was always supposed to be that De Gouden kooi wouldn't have an end date. The goal was simply to get rid of all the competition by making their lifes miserable. As soon as there was only one left, he or she would win the villa they lived in, a million Euro's, and 1000 Euro's for every day he or she had lived in the villa.

Wonderfull concept, and it made for some pretty fun television. Obviously, the people living in De Gouden kooi were the lowest of the lowest, which was a garuantee for bitch fights, yelling, happy slapping and all that stuff. I watched almost every night, just to get disgusted with how pathetic people can get. There's nothing better than looking down on other people to feel good about yourself.

Unfortunately, all this is about to come to an end now, as De Gouden Kooi will air its very last episode next week. The network decided it took too long or something, so they wrote in some kind of contest where the viewers can decide (by texting or calling expensive phone number, of course) who they want to win. Too bad, cause now the concept of the show has changed completely from a voyeuristic freak show to a real contest.

What I am curious about, is how these people will behave after they've been released back into normal life. Obviously, the whole country has been witness to their anti-social behaviour. It will be interesting to see them adept to normal life, where you can't just bully someone out of your view.

Keep on coming

If my only goal with this weblog would be generating pageviews, I'd definitely had to stop writing about anything else but Madonna. Since the Hard Candy and Sticky & Sweet World Tour 2008 era has started, pageviews have sared, with a vast majority of visitors coming in through either Madonna related websites, or Madonna related search orders on Google.

It's funny to see, I really love my Nedstats teller. Not just because I like knowing how many visitors I've got, but also, even more so, because it's nice to see where they're from, what search terms they used, and how many times they've clicked on archive pages. People are definitely coming from all over the world, looking for Madonna related news.

I promise to continue writing about Madonna, as it is my biggest hobby and I love writing about her (especially now that the European Sticky & Sweet ticket sales are coming up next weekend). At the same time, I never intented this blog to become somewhat of a Madonna fansites, so as much as I love for Madonna fans to come over, I will continue writing about all kinds of stuff. I hope you´ll still be visiting!

Movie disillusions

Too bad sometimes old favourites don't live up to their reputation when reviewed years later... This goes especially for movies and television series you may have loved in your youth or teenager years, but look ridiculously outdated in present day. Unfortunately, this happened to me last night.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was on television, obviously to cash in on the renewed Indy hype (because of the Chrystal Skull movie coming up). I remember loving this movie when I was younger, especially cause there was this sense of horror involved (the human sacrifice scene especially comes to mind, but the groos out scenes involving hundreds of bugs are pretty good exemples as well).

Now, imagine how much I was looking forward to seeing it again, after so many years. Well, the very first scene was somewhat of a foreboding of what was to come... Very silly acting and a storyline that was, to say the least, unworthy for a Steven Spielberg movie. Even worse, the special effects weren't nearly as spectacular as they were in my memories.

Am I just getting too old and jaded to rewatch childhood favourites? I still love James Bond movies, so it doesn't appear to be a general trend. I wonder what will happen if I go watch Transformers cartoons again (my absolute favourite when I was a kid)...

8 months... and counting

Another month of non-smoking has gone by. Today it's been 8 months ago since I puffed away my very last cigarette. Wow, I can't believe how fast it went by, and just how easy it all was, looking back on it.

I really never thought it would be a joyride quitting smoking, but in the end, it was. I guess the first three weeks were kinda fucked up, but after that, it was just plain easy. I'be saved so much money (not to mention lung cells) since last september... I can't believe I didn't quit earlier!

So, for everyone who's still a smoker: please follow my lead, you will feel so much better!

Pictures of Paris part 3

The last ones! Enjoy!

Pictures of Paris part 2

Some more pictures of our Madonna trip to the Hard Candy Showcase in Paris. There's more to come!

Pictures of Paris part 1

Behold out wonderfull pictures of our Madonna trip to the Hard Candy Showcase in Paris. All pictures by my friend Annelies, I'll post some more in a couple of minutes!

Media whore

As you all know, I'm an extreme media whore. Whenever there's a camera and/or a microphone around, I'm your man! So, two days ago I was interviewed by Holland's biggest newspaper Telegraaf (obviously about the Hard Candy Showcase in Paris). I was told it was gonna run today, but it didn't, there was only a review about the show. I've been told it will be in the paper around Madonna's 50th birthday, which is August 16th.

This afternoon I got a call from Radio 538, the station where I won the tickets last week. They want to ask me some questions about the concert, so of course I said yes. It will air tonight, you can listen to it between 6 and 9 PM CET on Dutch Radio 538, or through the live stream on their website.

The summer is magic

These past few days it has been so hot in Holland, it feels as if it's summer already. As you know, I'm not a big fan of warm weather, but I have to say so far I like it pretty much! It's nice to be able to leave the house in the morning without wearing a coat!

Yesterday, after work, Ziena and I went swimming. I haven't been to the swimming pool in about 2 weeks, so I guess it was about time! I'm starting to turn fat (just kidding, sort of) so working out is a much needed activity. After our swimming hour, I went to Annelies to celebrate her birthday, and discuss which Madonna Sticky & Sweet World Tour 2008 we'll attend. We decided on Amsterdam (one show has been announced so far, but I'm sure there will be two), Paris and Dusseldorf. Actually we also decided to go to Frankfurt, but I guess that will be a difficult one to obtain, since tickets are going on sale at the same time as Dusselforf.

Speaking of Madonna, Annelies gave me a CD with all her pictures from out trip to the Hard Candy Showcase in Olympia Paris! Expect them to be posted here tonight (CET), so be sure to check back!

My Madonna trip to Paris

Back from Paris, to describe to you my fantastic Madonna Hard Candy trip! I still hardly believe I actually went to this fantastic showcase, so if I sound a little bit too excited, please bare with me!

Tuesday Annelies and I took the train to Utrecht really early in the morning, where the Warner Music bus was waiting for us. As soon as we were on the bus, we saw some friends we already know from previous Madonna concerts, and met some great new people along the way as well! Although it's a long busride to Paris, it seemed to be just two or three hours, since we all had such a great time.

When we got to Paris, we checked into the hotel and took a shower, after which we were ready to go to Olympia Music Hall, which was where the Hard Candy showcase was to take place. There was already a long line, and we soon discovered security had fucked up big time with crowd control. Basically, this meant there was a lot of confusion as to how to get a wristband and how to get into the venue. We were positioned in front of the venue for a couple of hours, but then we finally got in!

Olympia Music Hall is a -particular when it comes to Madonna shows- very small venue, so everyone would have a great view on the stage. I ended up only about three meters from the stage, so I was sure to have a fantastic view on Madonna and her show.

There were two DJ's as pre-show. We all thought they took a little too long, but then again, the VIP's (including Lenny Kravitz, who I saw!) were let in at the same time so there was something to watch. Then, at about 10.30, finally the DJ started playing candy-related songs and the whole crowd was on it's feet and screaming. After about 5 minutes the DJ set turned around, the letters C-A-N-D-Y flashed on the screens, and there she was, the Queen Of Pop: Madonna, sitting on her M-shaped throne.

The first song of the set was Candy Shop. Madonna looked absolutely amazing and danced and sung her ass off. It's hard to believe she will actually turn 50 this year. I can think of a dozen current singers who are a lot less focused and skilled than she is. Also, Madonna was in a very good mood, and there were smiles all evening long!

Next up was Miles Away, one of my favourite songs of the Hard Candy album. Madonna strapped on a guitar and sang the song beautifully, with me being mesmerized by her beauty all along. The crowd was completely insane, and we were all dancing and singing and screaming. I've never seen such a great mood at a Madonna concert, ever!

Of course, by now it was time for the current hit single, 4 Minutes. While in New York Justin Timberlake was actually present on stage, this time he was on the videoscreens. Still, the elaborate props, and of course Madonna herself, more than made up for this!

After 4 Minutes, Madonna had a little talk with the audience. She told us how much she enjoys playing in Paris and how great the French audience always is. The funny thing is, this is something Madonna always says while playing in Paris, and almost never when playing someplace else, so I guess she really means it! She then played a bit of Rolling Stones I Can't Get No Satisfaction and asked us who we'd rather have, her or the Stones. Of course we all screamed for her! She started a really rocky version of Hung Up which got the crowd going to the maximum, absolutely everyone was dancing and singing!

Upcoming single Give It 2 Me was next, accompanied by a fantastic laser show. This show was only for prize winners, press and celebrities, but Madonna spared absolutely no expense. The show was arena-worthy! I couldn't believe how much Madonna was dancing, and I could do nothing but just dance along, loved it!

Then it was time for the last song of the set, all time favourite Music! Again, as she does with every tour since Drowned World, the song was transformed in a great new version! The very last chance to dance and sing with Madonna, so I drenched myself out! Then the videoscreens closed and Madonna disappeared.

I bought myself a great Hard Candy hoodie shirt, and then we went back to the hotel. After a good night sleep, the bus took us back to Holland today. Thank you, Radio 538, Warner Music, and above all Madonna and crew, for this fantastic trip! I will never forget it!

Life is great

Needless to say, my weekend has been absolutely fantastic! Friday, right after I won the Madonna Hard Candy competition, I texted Annelies she could come along with me to see Madonna at the Olympia Paris, tomorrow. So, we went for a few drinks to celebrate, cause how often do you get invited to a private Madonna concert? I guess this truly is a once in a lifetime experience.

Saturday I slept in, and went for lunch on my balcony, The weather was great so I was already in a good mood. Then Anneke called to ask me if I wanted to go for a drink. I said yes, so we had a good time. Mirjam came along as well so we had a great time.

Saturday evening Sara came over to visit, which was nice as well. I can always have a good laugh with her. Afterwards, I was pretty tired, so I decided not to go out anymore (am I getting old or what).

Sunday I went to visit my parents in leeuwarden. We had a great time, it was nice to see they were so happy for me that I've won the Madonna tickets. I stayed until 9-ish and then took the train back to Groningen.

Today I'm at the office, waiting for Warner Music to call me. They said they were gonna call this morning to give me the details about my trip to Paris tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it so much! Today in Holland we celebrate the day the netherlands were liberated from the Nazi's in World War 2, so there's a big celebration going on the the city park. Ziena and I are planning to go for a while after work, but obviously, I won't stay too long cause I want to be up and running for my Madonna concert tomorrow.

Expect a full Madonna review on Wednesday evening!

Madonna, here I'll come!

As promised, here's a little more detailed story about me winning the ultimate prize yesterday: two tickets for Madonna's showcase, promoting her fantastic album Hard Candy, in Olympia Paris.

I've been in so many competitions to win these tickets, and a lot of my friends were in competitions for me as well, but no luck anywhere. I was already losing hope to go to this fantastic concert, but there was one chance left: Radio 538. Radio 538 is the Dutch Top 40 channel, and they're having an entire weekend dedicated to madonna, giving away Hard Candy tickets every two hours.

Yesterday, during the first round, I couldn't even get connected to their phone lines... it was that busy! So, I figured I was bound to spend the entire weekend listening to the radio, with no chance of winning whatsoever. Then, at 9.15 PM, the second round came. 4 Minutes started and they wanted caller #5. I immediately called, and the first time already I got connected and started to freak out. I kept telling the people from the radiostation how big of a fan I am and how much I would love to win these tickets.

And it paid of big time! Five minutes later, I was live on air, making a complete fool out of myself, since by the time I was freaking out more than you can imagine. Never mind though, I don't give a shit about making a fool out of myself when it comes to Madonna. So, they told me I won the tickets, and I started to scream, hehe!

Monday I will be contacted by Warner Music, to go over the details, and Thuesday I'll be on my way to Olympia Paris, where, for the 9th time in my life, I will see the Queen of Pop. Am I the luckiest guy in the world or what?

To get the fun started, here's the setlist, and a great picture from this week's New York showcase. Chances are pretty much she'll do the same show in Paris!

I've won!!!

You would not believe how happy I am! I just won tickets for Madonna's Hard Candy showcase, Thuesday May 6th in Olympia Paris!!!! That's in 4 days!!!

I'll post longer later, I'm too psyched to write anything coherent, but believe me: I'm on top of the world!! I've won!!

A chance to win

Today is the day Radio 538 starts giving away tickets to see Madonna's Hard Candy promo gig in Olympia Paris, on May 6th! Obviously, I want to win those tickets really bad and I've done so many contests already hoping I might win. The difference with this competition is, that it's a phone-in contest, which means there at least is this sense of skills in trying to get through the phone lines. All the other contests so far have been with a email lottery kinda system, so hopefully my luck will change.

I've already tried to cheat a bit, by sending Radio 538 an email begging them to sell me a ticket, which of course they refused. I really do hope I will be able to get through cause I so need to be at this showcase! Not only because it's a one of a kind event, but also because it looks like the upcoming Hard Candy World Tour will be performed in enourmous stadiums only, as opposed to arena's, so this is probably my only chance of seeing her in such an intimate venue this year.

Luckily, it won't be that much of a problem listening to Radio 538 all day, since I listen to it at the office all day long anyway. Normally at home I play CD's instead of listening to the radio, but this weekend I will gladly make an exception!

So, please wish me luck and keep your finger's crossed I will win these highly sought-after tickets!
