Yesterday evening, while I was comfortably on the couch watching Maid in Manhattan (starring Jennifer Lopez, great movie!), my central heating boiler decided to break down, and me, being a technical nitwit, of course didn't have a clue what to do about it, so I called the electrician company. It was too late in the evening to get it fixed right away, so there's a mechanic coming over this afternoon.
The fucked up thing is, this is costing me an afternoon off at work, and really while this is the bussiest week of the month, I don't have any time to sit around at home an entire afternoon. On the other hand, it's too cold to spend another evening without heating (much less without a hot shower), so it really needs to get fixed today.
Besides, it's a little bit scary to have a broken boiler in your house. I know it may be a bit far fetched, but I'm always sort of afraid it might blow up or catch fire if I do something wrong...
