On my way to the Funhouse

I'm on my way to Ahoy Rotterdam, where my friend Leendert and I will see the Funhouse Tour by Pink tonight! I've been looking forward to this show for ages, so I'm thrilled it's finally showtime!

Expect a full review tomorrow!

No Doubt on Gossip Girl

No Doubt will perform on my favourite show Gossip Girl! This is what they write on their official website:

"Mark your calendars to see No Doubt perform "Stand And Deliver" (originally by Adam And The Ants) for the first time ever on Gossip Girl, May 11, 8/7c on The CW"

Rihanna and Chris back together?

According to People Magazine, Rihanna and her abuser Chris Brown are back together again.

"They're together again. They care for each other," a source tells the magazine. "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday last week. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source tells People. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."

Don't do this, Rihanna!

Rabbits are fun

My pet rabbit Lela is just the cutest little animal I've ever come across. Yesterday evening I let her run around in my living and dining rooms for about 4 hours (I guess a record time), and not once did she try to bite anything (such as power lines) she wasn't supposed to.

Lela's with me for about three months now, and I wouldn't want to miss her anymore. It's such a joy to come home and have a little animal waiting for you. eager to get some attention and be set free. Usually when I come home, I immediately let her out of her cage to run around for an hour or two. Then, in the evening, I usually take her on the couch to watch a movie with me.

Rabbits are fun! I can highly recommend them!

Kylie in Bollywood

After landing in Mumbai yesterday morning Kylie was escorted from the airport by television star Ronit Roy (whose security agency is responsible for the safety during her stay in Mumbai) to the home of Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna to have lunch with them at their Juhu residence. Apparently the menu was a selection of Thai cuisine and seafood chosen especially to suit Kylie’s taste buds.

Mario Testino about Madonna

Mario Testino, the photographer of the Ray Of Light photoshoot, said something interesting about working with Madonna:

It was in 1997, for the cover of her album Ray of Light. ‘At 2pm she said, “OK, I’m tired. We’re done.” And I said, “But I don’t have the pictures yet.” She said, “You’re working for me and I say we’re done.” I said, “No, we carry on.”

The picture she used on the cover came after that. She didn’t intimidate me, you see. I thought, I have to push my luck here, so I started keeking her like dis, with my foot.’ He gives me a demonstration, under the table. ‘She was, like, “Hey, what are you doing?” And I was, like, move here, move here,” and suddenly this created an eentimacy. When these people come across someone who treats them as an equal, it puts them at their ease.’

Octopus power

The Santa Monica Pier aquarium is used to lots of seawater — just not all over the floor. Aquarium staff arrived at work earlier this week to find hundreds of gallons of water flooding their offices. The culprit? The aquarium's female octopus. Staff members believe the tiny octopus pulled open a control valve, allowing the water to overflow the tank. Isn't this way too cute?

Manta

Does the picture above look like an ordinary construction area to you? Well think again! What's being build, is SeaWorld Orlando's brand new rollercoaster Manta, designed to be a floorless suspended coaster, the seond largest of its kind. Pictures below is a SeaWorld artist impression of how it's going to look when finished.

Remind me to include SeaWorld if I ever go to Florida!

I'm so stupid

One of my most stupid habits, is watching movies on television, including long commercial breaks, while I actually own the movies on DVD. Tonight's no exception, with me watching Chasing Liberty (Mandy Moore, Matthew Goode) even though I bought it on DVD (and watched it a million times) just a couple of months ago. I don't know why I'm doing this, but it happens at least once a week.

Zac proposed to Vanessa?

Noooooooooo! It must be just a rumour... According to a source, Zac Efron has asked Vanessa Hudgesns to marry him...

According to the source, "Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's mother has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman out of her daughter. She is old-school and doesn't approve of Vanessa living with Zac without some type of wedding promise."

I don't think it's true though. First of all, Zac must be gay, second of all, he would be stupid to risk losing his fanbase at this point in his career, something that's bound to happen if she would indeed were to become Vanessa Efron.

Tropicana

On Sunday, the day after seeing P!nk at Ahoy Rotterdam, Leendert and I are going to Tropicana, a huge indoor swimming park in Rotterdam. I've never been there before, but I love swimming, so I'm sure we'll have a great time!

17 Again release date

17 Again, Zac Efron's new movie, will be released in the Netherlands on April 23th!

Pink countdown

Pink is playing her second Funhouse Tour concert tonight at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium. Only two more days to go until I get to see the show at the Ahoy Rotterdam! I am so looking forward to it!

Conservative and ignorant

One thing I never quite understood about sites like OneNewsNow, WorldNetDaily or LifeSiteNews, is the way they can be as hypocritical as one could imagine, but their readers don't seem to notice.

For instance, OneNewsNow, by way of its mother organisation AFA, is constantly boycotting companies (not very well lately,I might add). Yet, as soon as one of their opposers uses the same tactic, they write articles about the opponent being mean to innocent employers of the business they're driving into bankruptcy.

Another one: conservatives seem to be allergic to government interference, unless it benefits them. They don't want tax dollars to go into public plans for health care or public schools, yet they applaud it when a private school gets a large sum of money to help underpriviliged children. I don't really see the difference.

Also, what's really obvious, is their complete bias towards Barack Obama or the Democratic Party as a whole. This is especially of interest since they constantly slam other media outlets for being biased against the Republican Party. Really, you can't accuse another when you're essentially doing the exact same thing.

While I think these contradictions are as obvious and in your face as they could be, their readers seem to be completely oblivious. Readers's comments and Letters To The Editor systematically agree with whatever garbage has been presented as 'news' on any given day, even though it's a direct contraction to a report posted only days earlier.

Tell me, are conservatives really THAT stupid, or do they just like to stick their heads in the ground and believe everything they want to believe?

W Magazine

The new issue of W Magazine, featuring Madonna's Blame It On Rio photoshoot, is in stores now!

Couture commercial

Kylie Minogue's new commercial for fragnance Couture can be checked out on fansite The Impossible Princess. This is what Kylie has to say about Couture:

“Like most women, I’m passionate about fashion and style, whether it’s red carpet glamour or everyday chic. With Couture I wanted to create a modern sophisticated fragrance for every woman with a strong sense of style. I chose the name because Couture is the very heart and spirit of fashion.” Kylie x

Octomom into porn

Octomom Nadya Suleman has been offered a 1 million dollar contract by Vivid Pictures to star in a porn movie. Uhm? How insane is that? It gets funnier though: in addition to the money, they also offer to pay for health care for her and her 14 children for year. What a family friendly company!

Zac Efron in LA

Zac Efron, spotted looking hot in Los Angeles yesterday!

(picture by Perez Hilton, that explains the captions written over it)

Home decorating

I bought myself some neat stuff at IKEA tonight! First, Ziena and I had dinner in their restaurant, which is actually really nice food! Then we went shopping!

I bought myself the Omar, pictured above for my kitchen. It can hold heavy things, such as my microwave oven. That way, I'll have a lot more room on the cooking desk! Also, I bought myself my second Billy book cabinet, which was about time, since I have way too many books.

In addition, some small things to hang up on the wall and put on my desk, all very nice. Afterwards, Ziena and I went to my place to assemble it all (thank you very much for all the help Ziena!).

All in all, a nice, and productive evening!

On my way to IKEA

Ziena and I are going to IKEA tonight! It's like visiting an amusement park, I really like IKEA!

Airplane crash

By now I suppose everyone has heard about the Turkish Airways plane crash at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. 9 People were killed today, with tens of them (seriously) injured in a field near Badhoevedorp (right next to the runways of Schiphol).

Very sad news!

New Jason Beitel

A new picture of Jason Beitel, looking hot as always!

Waste of time

The Nielsen Company has published a report saying the average American watches more than 151 hours of TV a month. 151 hours per month equals to about 5 hours per day. Isn't this completely insane? 5 hours per day? Don't these people have to work or something?

Slight victory?

I found the following amusing story on lunatic website OneNewsNow. It's funny because it once again exposes them as the hypocrits they are. They call a victory of 52% over 39% a 'slight' victory, while they called the 52% over 48% debacle of Proposition 8 a major victory. Really, are their reader so dumb they don't even notice the biased way this site presents its 'news'?

The battle continues to rage over same-sex "marriage" in Connecticut.

A Quinnipiac University poll shows a slight majority, 52 percent in favor and 39 percent in opposition, of Connecticut voters favoring a decision by the state Supreme Court to legalize homosexual marriage. However, Peter Wolfgang of the Family Institute of Connecticut puts little value in the survey.

"The thing to bear in mind is that we saw the exact same polls coming out of California in the first few months after that state Supreme Court forced same-sex marriage on their state last May," he points out.

Yet at the outcome of the November election, 52 percent of California voters overturned the ruling in favor of traditional marriage and Proposition 8. He believes Connecticut residents would respond in a similar manner. "If there were a vote in Connecticut that the people of Connecticut would vote the same as they did in the other 30 out of 30 states that have had the opportunity to vote, they would vote to protect marriage," Wolfgang contends.

But according to Wolfgang, the problem in Connecticut is the difficulty in getting a constitutional amendment on the ballot. He believes his organization and other pro-family advocates will have to use more creative ways to work to protect traditional marriage.

Funhouse opening night

Pink's Funhouse Tour will start tonight at the Palais Nikaia in Nice, France! From there it's on to Antwerp's Sportpaleis on Thursday, after which I will see the show at the Ahoy Rotterdam on Saturday.

Expect the setlist and pictures from the show later tonight!

Home of Hope

Talk about haute couture hand-me-downs. Madonna recently sent boxes of clothes belonging to her 3-year-old son, David Banda, back to his former orphanage in Malawi.
The Home of Hope Orphanage Centre was a beehive of activity thanks to the arrival of the surprise package, labeled "from David Ritchie to friends at Home of Hope – Malawi." Included in the boxes were clothes, children's books – with autographed copies of Madonna's children's book, English Roses – and an assortment of toys.

"These are clothes David can no longer use; they say he is quite a big boy now so he cannot use most of the clothes Madonna bought him immediately after he was adopted," said a source close to the orphanage. "The children were excited to receive the clothes."

Lucy Chipeta, director of the orphanage, confirmed receiving a surprise package for the kids but would not confirm it came from Madonna. "We have lots of friends across the globe who send us stuff from time to time," she said.

Home of Hope, founded by retired Presbyterian cleric the Rev. Thom Chipeta, looks after about 500 orphans. David's farmer father, Yohane Banda, 33, surrendered his son to the orphanage in 2005, when the boy was one month old. David's mother, Marita, died of complications form childbirth a week after David was born.

Madonna found David at the orphanage through Raising Malawi, a charity the singer set up. Home of Hope is one of the six orphanages Madonna is assisting in Malawi through her charity.

Killer seats

Enrique Iglesias' Greatest Hits Tour is selling out all over Europe! My mother and I have tickets for the show in Ahoy Rotterdam, and as it turns out we are having KILLER tickets! When it comes to lower tier seats, you really can't do any better than we did! I am SO looking forward to this show!

Stabbed

This afternoon, only a few yards away from my office, a 26-year old got stabbed by some insane 18 year old. He was found by a bus driver later on. I saw the police and ambulance cars (and even the trauma helicopter) from my office, but I didn't know what was going on. My office mate Gerben found out later because of a news bulletin on the internet.

It's a bit scary, the place where it happened is somewhere I bike around every morning and evening to and back from the office. Moreover, the entire neighbourhood is just offices, including mine, so you wouldn't expect this kind of violence.

I sure hope the guy that got stabbed will make it!

In the snow

Ischgl ski resort, the showbiz centre of the Alps, has pulled off another coup by signing Kylie for their end-of-season concert in May. Kylie will follow in the footsteps of a galaxy of other superstars who have performed at the Austrian resort’s traditional Top of the Mountain gig, including Elton John, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Lionel Richie, Scissor Sisters and Stereophonics.

About 20,000 people are expected to attend the concert, which will be held at lunchtime on Saturday the 2nd of May in a natural bowl near the top station of the main Silvrettabahn gondola from the centre of the village. The concert is free for those with lift-passes - necessary anyway to reach the venue.

Kylie is said to be delighted to be returning to Austria for her first daytime concert.

It's Oscar night! Expect coverage tomorrow!

Fuck the police

Police in Holland don't seem to think they have to do anything, so instead of actually taking in criminals, nothing pleases them more than fining law abiding citizens who happen to have forgotten their lights on their bikes.

Fuck them big time! For one goddamned ride I now have to pay 20 Euro's while someone else can steal my bike and not get any punishment whatsoever. Police really should get their priorities straight.

New poll

Only 25 people voted in last week's poll, leaving us with the following results:

Michael Jackson comeback?

SKINT MICHAEL JACKSON is on the brink of a £150million comeback — with 30 London gigs, it was confirmed last night.
The pop legend, stricken by an MRSA-type bug, is desperate to revive his flagging career.

Plans for a string of concerts have been rumoured for months but now they look closer than ever.

Jacko, 50, is in “advanced talks” with the O2 arena to stage the shows that would net him £5million each.

A spokeswoman for his agents, the Outside Organisation, added: “It is only at discussion stage but if it comes off it will be amazing.”

Insiders said the shows — due for July — would be Jacko’s final attempt to be a global star again.

The singer became a near-recluse after a damaging child-sex trial four years ago. He was cleared of all charges.

A source said: “It’s his last chance to hit the jackpot so he can pay a large slice of his debts. Michael feels enough time has passed for the public to forgive the scandals.”

The Sun revealed earlier this month that Jacko was being treated for an MRSA-type infection.

It means he would have to undergo a medical examination for insurance purposes in case he is forced to abandon any of the performances.

Last November, Jacko was sued by the King of Bahrain’s son for £4.7million he lavished on the star to record albums and stage shows which never saw the light of day.

A settlement was reached in London.
