New York may join

New York governor David Paterson said today that he plans to re-introduce legislation making gay marriage legal in the state. That's the third positive news in just one week, after Vermont and Iowa.

Two years ago, then-governor Eliot Spitzer introduced similar legislation, but it stalled in the Republican-controlled Senate. This time, the Democrats control the New York Senate, so suddenly chances are huge New York State will join Connecticut, Massachusetts, Iowa and Vermont!

Good times!
