Well well well... the Enrique Iglesias show. What can I say? First of all, something that has nothing to do with the show itself: my mother and I had a blast! We went to Rotterdam quite early so we had loads of time to have drinks and snacks at the Ahoy Cafe, and all was great! So, whatever I'll write next about the show; we had a great two days!
Then the show itself: it started of great with Can You Hear me, and the crowd was going wild. Of course, this was before we know Enrique is actually incapable of singing any of his songs himself from start to ending. Actually, as it was, Enrique had the audience sing most every chorus of every song, and sometimes even the verses. Looking back, there wasn't a single song in the entire show he sang himself completely.
This is something I'm totally pissed off with. I'm not paying 50 Euro's to hear the audience sing. Usually, it's nice to have the audience sing for like one or two songs, but this was getting to the point of absurdity. I really don't like it when artist seem to think the audience has to sing everything.
Then, the set: two video screens that weren't particular inventively staged. In other words: why were they even there? It wasn't like they were bringing anything interesting to the show, so the could have just as well been replaced by a black screen or something.
Then, Enrique got some people on stage to join him in the festivities. Nice, but it took to long, and it was entirely scripted. He's doing this night after night, and while it may be fun to the people actually coming up there on stage, to the rest of us it was just another drag in an already slow show.
Finally: the show wasn't even an hour and a half... way, way , way too short! For a tour promoting a greatest hits album, it sounds kind of absurd to omit half of these greatest hits, especially since Enrique did manage to pour in a couple of album tracks, instead of hits...
So, again, we had a blast, just because we had a great day, but it was rather in spite of than because of Enrique Iglesias. I know this is one artist I don't need to see again.

Nag nag nag ... if this is the only thing you can say then you better don't go a next time. Cause I did see a whole different show then you. It was awesome ! Enrique gave the best of himself as usual. He's full of energy and sang very good. I wonder why you came to the first place. It's not nice bashing someone down who doesn't deserve it. Cause it was an amazing show.
You do understand people are entitled to their opinion? I paid 50 Euro's, I thought the show sucked. Nice you had a good time, I didn't, and for 50 Euro's, I expect I do.
