Conservatives, and really, not just conservatives, are just way too scared of what could happen to them if ever gay marriage could become legal. Most likely, they think at least the sky would fall down at them, or every traditional marriage would fail in the instance.
Obviously, none of this ever happens. In fact, living in the Netherlands, a country where gay marriage has been legal for several years now, I can say that no, the sky doesn't fall and no, traitional marriage didn't fall in any way.
So why are you so scared? Sure enough, gay marriage is your big deal according to the Book of Leviticus, isn't it?... Then again, how many times did you actually take notice to not be eating any lobster, crab or any snail fish, or did you take notice to not wear any piece of clothing made out of two different pieces of fabric?
Yes, that's right: the stuff I just mentioned, according to the Book of Leviticus, is just as much as an abomination to God as being gay is, so how come you're just ignoring these parts and take out the parts you love best?
That means: the parts that give you a chance to hate?
