360 at the Arena

I may not like U2's concerts (I like their music, just not their concerts), it seems the media is having a very different opinion.

The band played their first of two 360 Tour concerts at the Amsterdam ArenA yesterday (the second one is tonight), and Dutch newspapers are falling over themselves praising the spectacle.

Unfortunately, Bono has again resulted to preaching, and, as usual, again it's about world peace. Desmund Tutu is used on video screens to teach the audience a lesson, severely taking the energy out of the performance. This has been exactly the reason why I didn't like their 2005 Vertigo Tour, and then vowed never to go see U2 again.

The media may be positive, they have proven for me it was a wise decision not to attend.
