On July 11, Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour will play Festivalpark Werchter in Belgium, and it could have some legal complications for Madonna. As I previously reported, Madonna has replaced Hung Up with a dance version of Frozen in the new leg of the tour.
Frozen, however, has been banned completely in Belgium because of a copyright infringement case. Belgian singer songwriter Salvatore Acquaviva sued Madonna a couple of years ago, claiming she had stolen the music for Frozen from him. He won the court case, and from then on, Fozen was forbidden on Belgian radio and television, and stores were forbidden to sell CD's or DVD's carrying the song (which basically means Ray Of Light, GHV2, Drowned World Tour and The Complete Video's 1993-1999).
The law also implies Madonna is not allowed to sing the song while being in Belgium. Knowing Madonna, I think it's safe to say she will probably sing the song like every night, so it will be interesting to see what happens. Most likely she will be forced to pay a fine, but Belgian law even provides for a judge to shut down the entire concert.

I think this judge who ruled against Madonna do not know much about music. I have heard both samples. While I can see some similarities, there are vast differences as well. The two excerpts were different in timing and tone.
I think to allege plagiarism, it must be a significant amount like at least 5 seconds and the music ( timing and scale). Frozen is a masterpiece consiting of many things such as the instrumental backing and spiritual-like singing.
The ruling is a way over the top, banning all albums containg Frozen and broadcasting. Madonna's people should have appealled and Madonna's fans should challenge the law by having a mass public singing of Frozen.
