Following the deadly accident today, when Madonna's stage collapsed at the Velodrome Stadium in Marseille, Sunday's Sticky & Sweet concert in Marseille has been cancelled.
The fire department says the stage at the Stade Velodrome stadium fell apart on top of several workers Thursday. The six injured were taken to local hospitals. Details of their injuries and the identity of the dead worker were not immediately released.
The cause of the stage collapse was not clear. The area was barricaded after the accident.
Update: Tonight's show at Udine, Italy is going on as planned. It would be difficult to cancell it with all the people already in the stadium, so I can't blame Madonna for that. I do hope she will say something to mark the horrible occasion.
