Barack Obama and Dmitri Medvedev have reached an important breakthrough in reducing both the American and the Russian arsenal of nuclear weapons. As a replacement to the START treaty from 1991, they have agreed to reduce their arsenals to somewhere between 1500 and 1675 warheads per country.
Of course, this is still 1500 warheads too many, but considering the fact right now the USA has 2200 warheads, and Russia even 2790, it's a good start!

Aren't you forgetting that every warhead could also be a MIRV'ed one? This means that for every warhead there could potentially be 8 smaller re-entry vehicels.
Individual warheads, not MIRVed ones.
