Sony is planning on making a movie about Michael Jackson. Among others, they will be using images shot during the rehearsals for Michael's This Is It concerts at the O2 Arena.
Sony is said to have paid 50 million dollars (35 million Euro's) to obtain the rights for the footage. They will be working closely together with AEG Live! to bring the movie to the big screen. Kenny Ortega, known from directing High School Musical, will be directing the movie.
