You know how I've been saying for at least half a year now how Madonna is fooling around with capacity numbers in stadiums throughout Europe? Well, it turns out she's doing the exact same thing in the United States, to make it seem she's selling out while in fact she's nowhere near a sellout.
Couple of examples:
United Center in Chicago had its capacity down to 15.500 people per show, while it's usual capacity is over 20.000. So, Madonna is scaling down capacity to declare herself sold out while in fact she isn't nearly.
Washington DC: Attendance: 32,061 for two shows at MCI Center on her 2001 Drowned World Tour, attendance: 26,788 for two shows at MCI Center on her Re-Invention Tour. Kind of a big difference, still, all shows were considered sold out. Not possible.
Denver: Pepsi Center can hold over 36.000 people for two shows, yet Madonna filled two shows with 23,501 people, and called them sold out. Blatant lie.
I can go on like this for a while, but guess the numbers are clear (allthough for Madonna die hard fans they will never be clear, and they will always believe the press releases which will do nothing else than scream "SOLD OUT').
