One of the last countries in the world that still airs Big Brother, the United Kingdom, now finally calls it quits as well. The current season, season 11, will be the last, Channel 4 confirmed.
I never really understood why people liked watching Big Brother in the first place. Sure, it's funny the first time round, but then you realise these people are incredibly boring, and basically you're just watching your neighbours. What's the fun in that?
In the UK, Big Brother has always been a scndal-filled show, with 'newspaper' The Sun dedicating an entire section of their website to it daily. Perhaps that's the reason this particular version lasted so much longer than the ones in the rest of the world.
Too bad for the fans, but I'm sure Channel 4 will come with something new, and just as stupid.
