Remember how I always wanted to go to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California? Well, if I wait just a little bit longer, there will be a huge extra reason to go.
Disneyland Resort is made up out of different elements, namely Disneyland Park, Disney's California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and three hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, and Grand Californian). This has been the case for several years now, but right now, Disney's California Adventure is getting a major makeover, in order to make the park just as much a tourist lure as Disneyland Park is.
You see, as with many of the 'new' Disney parks this century (Walt Disney Studios Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland come to mind), Disney's California Adventurwe was built on the cheap, meaning it lacked the theming and atmosphere (not to mention E-ticket rides) of Disneyland Park.
After several years of lackluster attendance, Disney finally decided something needed to be done to get the park positioned as a major tourist attraction, so currently they're working on a huge makeover, expension, and re-theming. This means that once everything is finished, Disneyland Resort will finally be a two day outing.
Although of course the park I really want to see is Disneyland Park, I would like to take a peek at the revibed California Adventure as well!
