Perhaps this remake thing is getting a bit too much... I can figure out why they're re-doing all the classic horror movies, as obviously special effects have improved immensely over the years. There's just a lot more possible now than there was back in the eighties.
But Dirty Dancing? Come on! Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey did a fantastic job on the original one, so why would you want to try and do it again?
I can't think of it getting better than the original, so I'd say just keep your hands of this classic!
