What a great idea! Bloggers David Badash and David Mailloux are promoting something called "The Great Nationwide Kiss-In" through the internet. On their Facebook event page they claim that "any person anywhere should be able to kiss whomever they want, whenever they want." According to the Facebook page, the event is in protest to recent events in Texas and Utah where gay couples were detained or harassed by law enforcement for kissing in public.
Peaceful protests are good! According to the Facebook page, the event will take place Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern). If you happen to live in the United States, make sure to participate!
