Music promoter World Awards Media GmbH has announced today there will indeed be a Michael Jackson tribute event in Vienna later this year. A huge stage will be built in front of the palace Schloss Schönbrunn (pictured above), from where a three hour long show will be held.
Performs are said to include Madonna, U2, Lionel Ritchie and Whitney Houston, although no names have been confirmed yet. Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson will announce the lineup shortly.
85.000 people will be able to watch the show live at the square. The rest of the world will be able to watch through a mega telecast.
