This sort of spoils the illusion... Space Mountain, the fantastic Disney rollercoaster in the dark, is one of the most thrilling rides I know. However, turn on the lights (picture below, taken at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, in Orlando, FL), and it's an ordinary ride, and all suspense is gone...
Best to turn off the lights again!
