Robbie Williams has told GQ Magazine he will be re-joining Take That after a couple of years. Robbie of course left Take That back in 1995, soon after which the band split up. In 2005 Take That came back together as a foursome: Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. Since then, they've experienced the most succesful years of their career, with last Summer's The Circus Live Tour as the highlight so far.
So, the question is: do we believe Robbie? He has been known to lie to jounalists all the time, so why should he be telling the truth this time? I can't really see why Take That would want to work with him again, while their career as a foursome is way bigger than it ever was when there were five of them.
Besides, Robbie is working on a solo comeback himself right now, releasing his new single Bodies this Monday, and his upcoming album Reality Killed The Video Star next month. It seems like he's just trying to get some free publicity by playing into the tabloids hands. If that's the case: it worked, since everyone's talking about it.
I really don't think there's any truth in a possible reunion for Robbie Williams and Take That. If anything, I sure hope they won't let him back in. He's doing fine solo, and they're doing great just the four of them!
