Time for another reason to want to visit Disneyland in Anaheim, CA as soon as possible: Finding Nemo's Submarine Voyage, a submarine ride through the story of Pixar movie Finding Nemo.
The original Submarine Voyage attraction was built as part of the "new" Tomorrowland in 1959, and closed on September 9, 1998. At that time, Disneyland's president, Paul Pressler, promised the press and Disneyland fans that the attraction would re-open with a new theme by 2003. As it happened, the new ride was themed to the massive succes of Finding Nemo.
After entering the submarine, the voyage takes off. The submarine never actually submerges, but enters a cleverly disguised showbuilding, where most part of the ride takes place. The show building is covered with waterfalls and rocks, and is actually the ground floor, covered by some of the tracks of the nearby Autopia attraction.
Finding Nemo's Submarine Voyage can only be found at the original Disneyland, so it's a good reason for a visit!
