Because of a fire backstage, Lady Gaga started her first UK show of the Monster Ball Tour 45 minutes late. This could have led to a pretty hefty fine, as the Manchester Evening News Arena is enforcing a curfew.
She was asked to drop a couple of songs from the setlist to make sure the show ended in time, but of course she said no, as this would have meant a shorter show for her fans. In the end, her management persuaded the MEN Arena's staff a fine wasn't in place, since the fire wasn't Lady Gaga's fault.
