Tricking the paparazzi

Zac Efron escaped paparazzi by pretending to see Robert Pattinson.

The 21-year-old actor was jogging in Runyon Canyon, Los Angeles, recently when a group of photographers swooped on him desperate for a picture.

Keen for them not to catch him in all his sweaty glory, Zac came up with an ingenious way to divert the attention from himself.

"He suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, waved at another runner just disappearing over the hilltop and yelled, 'Hey Robert, Robert!' Laughing as the puzzled paparazzi looked at the disappearing figure, he said. 'You guys are taking pictures of me? You just missed Robert Pattinson'," a source revealed to National Enquirer magazine.

The photographers immediately started running after the distant figure, keen to catch a glimpse of the young hunk.

As soon as they approached him the group realised they had been tricked, and began moaning as they ran back to Zac.

Thrilled his plan had worked Zac jumped in his car and zoomed off, leaving the photographers furious.
