Have I been having a great weekend or what? Friday after work I took the train to Utrecht, where my friend Leendert was celebrating his 26th birthday. We had a great party at his house, with many people I know and like but don't get to see as often as I would like, and went to town afterwards. There's this great 80s/90s club in Utrecht called Derrick, so this is where we went. Great dancing to songs everybody knows!
I spend the night on my friend Arjen's couch, and woke up on Saturday morning to buy Lady Gaga tickets, which I did. What better way to start the day? After a shower and a pleasant walk in the sun to the trainstation, I went to Amersfoort where I had lunch with Bart (who, in his own words, is incredibly hot), which was nice.
A long train ride home, and off to Renate and David. They were having a Winter BBQ in Renate's back garden, which was really, really cool. It's funny to be eating and drinking while there's snow surrounding you, but thanks to gas heaters it was perfectly doable. A great evening.
This afternoon I'm visiting my parents in Leeuwarden, which will be another nice way to spend the day. All in all: a great weekend!
