Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has given 18 year old Constant McMillen a cheque worth 22.000 dollar to support her legal battle against her highschool. Constant has made headlines worldwide because of her school refusing to let her go to prom with her girlfriend. Instead, the school cancelled the entire prom.
Ellen, who is a lesbian herself, is donating this money to help the lawsuit that's been filed on behalf of Constant and her girlfriend. The court will hear the case this Monday.
Very nice of Ellen to be helping out like this. I sincerely hope Constant and her girlfriend win the case. This is the 21th century, not the middleages anymore.
