Ronan Keating appeared as a judge on the Australian version of X Factor this week, but the show flopped completely, drawing in only a million viewers.
An insider says: "Ronan was meant to be the star attraction on this show along with Natalie Imbruglia but the public just have not responded. It has cost the network £14million but it's just not working."
