10x Movie series

1) Scream
2) Jaws
3) Pirates Of The Carribean
4) Jurassic Park
5) A Nightmare On Elm Street
6) Twilight
7) The Matrix
8) Final Destination
9) American Pie
10) Austin Powers

What are yours?

Gaga goes Down Under

Lady Gaga will visit Australia in July for a performance at the Sydney Town Hall. “I can’t wait, I feel like it’s been 100 years,” she said. “Just to be able to kiss and touch and hold the fans again is going to be such a wonderful feeling.”

“The next tour I believe will be called the Born This Way Ball and that will be a much longer tour of Australia,” she added. “That [P!nk's Funhouse tour of Australia] is truly inspiring. I don’t know if it will be that long but maybe if we’re lucky. It will be next year, at the top of next year.”

Royal couple

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are all smiles on the cover of Vanity Fair’s July 2011 issue, on newsstands in New York and L.A. on Thursday. The happy couple posed together for celebrity photographer Mario Testino in a never-before-seen photo.

J.Lo will tour this year

Fantastic news! Jennifer Lopez is planning her first world tour following the final of American Idol!!!

J.Lo recalled her experiences of taking to the stage with her husband Marc Anthony during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I've never toured. No, that's not true. I did a little mini tour with Marc right when I was pregnant. I was a little bit large on tour,” she told the talk show host. “We just did like 20 shows but I've never really done the world tour thing which we really are talking about now with this album. The first record took off and the second one’s taking off."

This is gonna be huge! I can't wait for her to announce a show in the Netherlands! I will make sure to be there!

... and there's the trailer

I was just writing about the movie, and now look what I found: the official trailer for Final Destination 5. Check it out!

Final Destination 5

On August 12, Final destination 5 will be released in 3D, just as the fourth movie. I know it's just a formula franchise, but I really enjoy these movies, so I'm happy another one will be released. Here's the storyline:

Twelve years after explosion of Flight 180, Sam Lawton (Nicholas D'Agosto) has a premonition about the bridge he is on collapsing, killing him and many around him. As the vision becomes reality, Sam manages to save himself and a few others; however, Sam and his girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell), discover that Death is still after them and the ones who survived the gruesome accident.

It's gonna be a good one! Even better, the studio has revealed in an interview that if the film is a success at the box office, then the sequels Final Destination 6 and Final Destination 7 will be filmed back-to-back!

Paranormal Activity 3

Oren Peli, the director of the first two Paranormal Activity films, says that Paranormal Activity 3 will be scarier than ever, because it focuses on Katie, who will always be possesed by the demon. The film comes out on October 21, and 'm really looking forward to it! The first two scared the hell out of me, so hopefully this one will be even better!

Even more pirates

Screenwriter Terry Rossio has just turned in his script for a planned fifth installment in Disney's most lucrative film franchise Pirates of the Carribean.

Rossio tells THR that the still-untitled script -- his first penned without Ted Elliot, who collaborated on the first four Pirates scripts -- was delivered to Disney this past weekend. It's the initial step in putting together the key creative pieces for another Pirates film. Disney would like another installment, given the $3 billion in worldwide grosses for the first three films and the huge returns for the fourth movie, the first to be released in 3D.

"It boils down to story, script and filmmaker," Depp tells THR. But the actor isn't clamoring to jump back into the puffy shirt until a little time has passed after Pirates 4. He didn't relish the brutal schedule that saw him making Pirates 2 and Pirates 3 back-to-back in order to meet studio-mandated release dates in summer 2006 and 2007, respectively. "It's not something where I would say, 'Let's shoot it next month to get it out by Christmas 2012,'" he says. "We should hold off for a bit. They should be special, just like they are special to me."

Costumed molestation

Disney has settled a lawsuit brought by a Pennsylvania woman who claimed her breast was groped by a man dressed as Donald Duck. April Magolon sued the Walt Disney Co. last year for negligence after allegedly being groped in front of her children at Epcot Center in 2008, alleging a pattern of sexual molestation by costumed characters at Walt Disney World in Florida.

The lawsuit provoked Gawker to ask at the time, "Who are the strange people in the furry costumes at Disney World, and are they pervs?"

According to court documents, the case has now been dismissed with prejudice, as a result of a settlement. Details of the deal aren't known. The woman had been claiming tens of thousands of dollars in damages for post-traumatic stress disorder.

Only in America...

Orchestral Tour

Since tickets for the October 21 and 22 shows of his Orchestral Tour sold out really fast, LiveNation has announced George Michael will play a third date at Ahoy Rotterdam. The new date is set for October 10, and tickets go on sale tomorrow morning through LiveNation and TicketMaster.

Make sure to buy your tickets only from one of these two websites, and not from a scalper, such as Budgetticket, Pepe Tickets or OnlineTicketShop. These sites overprice their tickets ridiculously, plus you stand a chance the tickets will be false.

Box office smash

The latest Pirates of the Carribean movie is doing extremely well, both in the United States itself, as well as the rest of the world.

On Stranger Tides has earned an estimated $163,967,000 in the United States and Canada, as of May 30, 2011, and an estimated $485,100,000 in other territories, as of May 30, 2011, for a worldwide total of $649.1 million. It scored the third-largest opening weekend of all time worldwide ($350.6 million), behind that of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ($394 million) and Spider-Man 3 ($381.6 million). It was also slightly ahead of the global opening of At World's End ($344 million), to mark the franchise's largest worldwide debut. It also scored the largest worldwide debut of all time at IMAX theaters ($16.7 million) with a big $61,000 per theater average. It reached $400 million in less than a week in release, which is the fastest time for a 2011 movie. It crossed the $500-million-mark at the worldwide box office in 10 days of release and the $600-million-mark in 12 days. Both accomplishments matched the records for speed that were first set by At World's End in 2007. On the weekend of May 27-29, 2011, On Stranger Tides surpassed Fast Five to become the highest-grossing film of 2011 worldwide, and the 49th highest grossing film of all time.

Disney must be thrilled!

American Idol

Lady Gaga performed her latest single The Edge Of Glory live on American Idol. As usual, it was a smashing performance! Check it out above.

Statement of administration policy

On May 24, the White House Office of Management and Budget released a "Statement of Administration Policy" on H.R. 1540, the National Defense Act for fiscal year 2012. While most of the document deals with the administration's position on weapon procurement and policies like the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), buried within it are two administration objections regarding gays and lesbians.

On page 3 of the six-page memo, the administration says it "strongly objects" to any legislative attempts to "undermine, prevent, or delay" implementation of the "don't ask, don't tell" repeal. On the same page, the administration labels what it calls "the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)" as discriminatory and supports its repeal.

Good for them! When it comes to equality, Barack Obama has been the best president the United States ever had.

Financial Times

Lady Gaga was interviewed by British actor and author Stephen Fry for the latest issue of the Financial Times, on newsstands now. The two met at the Lanesborough Hotel in London to discuss fame, fans and more. Check out some quotes from the interview and be sure to pick up a copy of the FT Weekend for the full article:

On money:
“It’s honestly true that money means nothing to me. The only big things I’ve purchased are my dad’s heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary. And that was only because my dad had a Lady Gaga licence plate on our old car and it was making me crazy because he was getting followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car. Other than that I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of The Monster Ball.”

On fans:
“I sent them hot chocolate yesterday, and macaroons, and then today I had press all day and I felt a bit bad because I wouldn’t have much of a chance to go down and say hello. But I did manage to go down and brought them some fresh cookies and flowers. <...> Little Monsters are a community. It’s kind of nice that wherever I go they create a little home for me.

On Madonna:
“I genuinely love her so much. I think she is so amazing. She could never be replicated and, yes, I’m Italian, I’m from New York, and not for nothing, it’s not my fault that I kind of look like her, right? So, look, if anything, it’s more annoying to me that people would insinuate that I don’t like to be compared to her… She’s wonderful and inspiring and liberating, and she’s certainly inspired my album, as did David Bowie, as did Prince, as did Michael Jackson, as did Grace Jones, and I would never take that away.”

Shark night 3D

Check out the trailer for her new film Shark Night 3D, in theaters September 2. No matter how many shark movies Hollywood spits out, I want to see them all!

Dressed up for coffee

Most people don't dress up to get a cup of coffee. Of course, Lady Gaga isn't like most people, so when she went out in New York to buy herself a coffee at Starbucks, this is what she was wearing. Outrageous, and we all love her for it!

Harsh reality

Doctors at The Priory, where Amy Winehouse is currently being treated, gave her a final warning about her terrible state of health. A source said: "It's the last chance saloon for Amy. Doctors have come down hard on her because of the severity of her situation. It's a harsh reality but she had to hear it."

Also listening to the doc's bedside lecture were her dad and her boyfriend Reg Traviss (pictured together above). The source added: "They are worried about her. Mitch has been down this road before during Amy's drug addiction. But she is there of her own accord this time and wants to sort herself out."

Interview with Mark Owen

British newspaper The Sun published a nice interview with Take That star Mark Owen today, to celebrate the start of their spectacular and record breaking Progress Live 2011 Tour. Click here to read it.

Not on the list

Pink, who’s ready to give birth, recently joked about her pregnant body.

“Oh, poo. I didn’t make it to the hot bodies list of 2011. Hahahahahahahahaaaaaa,” she wrote on her Twitter account late last week.

Gaga on Oprah

Okay, even more Gaga! the Lady performed in the final week of the Oprah Winfrey Show last week, and did a fantastic medley of Born This Way and You And I. It's just amazing!

Good Morning America: Born This Way

And finally, from Central Park, New York, here's Lady Gaga singing Born This Way for Good Morning America.

Good Morning America: Judas

Live at Good Morning America in Central Park, New York City, enjoy Lady Gaga singing Judas. Wow, what a voice! Eat your heart out, Madonna.

Good Morning America: The Edge Of Glory

Good Morning America, Central Park, Lady Gaga, The Edge Of Glory. Pop perfection!

Good Morning America: Bad Romance

Also from Good Morning America, here's Lady gaga opening the show with Bad Romance.

(the video is crappy, but the audio is great! and the video gets a lot better starting the second minute, when Gaga flies over the audience!)

Good Morning America: Hair

Lady Gaga kicked off the GMA Summer Concert Series in New York’s Central Park this morning with a live performance in front of the show’s biggest crowd ever. “It’s an absolute dream come true to be here today,” said Gaga. “I grew up five blocks from here. I am so excited and so blessed to be here.”

Check out her performance (for the very first time live) of Hair above.

Biggest opening week

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way is this week’s number one album in the United Kingdom. The CD debuts atop the official charts with over 215,600 copies sold in its first week, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined and scoring the biggest opening week of 2011.

“I feel so honored to have the highest first-week sales in the UK this year,” said Gaga. “I wrote the album’s first single ‘Born This Way’ in Manchester because I was so inspired by the confidence and bravery characteristic of my fans. To the United Kingdom, thank you for believing in me.”

Lady Gaga tops the UK albums chart for the second time in her career – her debut album The Fame (re-released as The Fame Monster in 2009) reached the number one spot four times and is currently No. 7 in its 124th week on the chart.

The Ultra Girls

They may not have been as succesful as I has initially hoped for them, but the latest girlband from the UK, The Ultra Girls, are still working on their career. Their single Girls Will Be Girls is out now, so if you have the chance, give them a listen and support their career. They supported the UK leg of Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite Les Folies Tour and seemed really nice, so I would like them to succeed.

I'm into you

Jennifer Lopez looks absolutely smashing on the cover of the second single from her Love? album, I'm Into You. It's one of my favorite songs from the album, so I'm hoping it will become a smash hit. And of course, more than that, I would love J.Lo to tour!

Support The Home Depot

In 2008, the Home Depot revealed the company's support for gays and lesbians by donating its signature orange aprons to a Gay Pride Parade event in Toronto. Event organizers posted on their website, "The pouches worn by the volunteers were donated by Home Depot."

The company has again signaled its support! This time by allowing the Home Depot name to be used in conjunction with a gay pride parade. Since this obviously was reason enough for hate group American Family Association to further their actions and boycotts, I would once again like to voice my support for The Home Depot. They don't have any stores in the Netherlands so I can't become one of their customers, but I would if I could.

If you happen to live in the United States, please support The Home Depot.

Let me entertain you - live in Sunderland

Robbie Williams makes his entrance during the Progress Live 2011 Tour at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, during Let Me Entertain You. He doesn't sing very good live, and he lets the audience do all the work during the chorus, in typical Robbie fashion...

More videos tomorrow hopefully. YouTube isn't exactly flooding with them yet.

Rule the world - live in Sunderland

As promised, some videos from Take That's Progress Live 2011 Tour, which started last friday at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. To start with, here's opening song Rule The World, without Robbie Williams, who doesn't join them on stage until the 6th song.

10x Born This Way

Time for a new top ten list! Today, my ten favorite songs from Lady Gaga's new album Born This Way. Here we go:

1) Hair
2) You And I
3) Judas
4) The Edge Of Glory
5) Americano
6) Marry the Night
7) Born This Way

10) Fashion Of His Love

Robert Pattinson suits up as he walks to the set of his new film, Cosmopolis, on Sunday in Toronto, Canada.

Robert is playing Eric Packer, a “financial wunderkind,” in the film based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name. The David Cronenberg-directed drama will hit theaters sometime next year!

Celine in O Magazine

In its June issue, O Magazine celebrated 25 years of the popular ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’, which recently aired its last episode. For this occasion, the magazine listed the 25 best moments of the show. At number 14 is Celine’s 1999 announcement of her “indefinite exit” from showbiz to start a family. Also in this issue, is a brief interview with Celine about her new Las Vegas show. Head over to your newsstands to get yourself a copy!

Secret showcase

If you happen to live in the Netherlands, our most-listened to radio station Radio 538 is having a competition on their website where you can win tickets (with travel and hotel all paid for) to see a 'secret' showcase by Lady Gaga in Paris. Since this is one of the first gigs to hear the new songs for Born This Way, as well as a unique event you can't buy tickets for, it's quite to prize!

Fingers crossed I'll win!

Teaser commercial

Even more Kylie Minogue! Sky TV have released this teaser commercial for their broadcast of Aphrodite Les Folies - live at the O2 Arena. It's short but sweet, check it out!

Kylie vs Piggy

Miss Piggy was interviewed for the BBC, and talked about Kylie Minogue, who kissed her boyfriend kermit The frog. It's a hilarious clip. Watch it above!

The albums 2000 - 2010

EMI Music are proud to announce the release of a beautiful Kylie Minogue 5 CD box set on July 18th 2011. Containing her albums Light Years, Fever, Body Language, X and Aphrodite, the set is a great addition for fans who just started collecting Kylie music (and there will be a lot of new fans thanks to the fantastic Aphrodite Les Folies Tour).

Get ready to scream again

Good news for Scream fans, such as myself. MTV spoke to Harvey Weinstein at Cannes Film Festival in France and they asked him if he wished the film's success had turned out differently and he was stated as saying, "I wish it would have been better domestically but Foreign is so strong that we’ll do over $100 million worldwide. It’s at $90 now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. So we’ll probably do $110 million. It’s not the worst thing in the world that’s ever happened." Weinstein is "sure" that Scream 5 will happen in the future.

There was gossip these past couple of weeks there won't be a Scream 5, but now fortunately it appears there will be.

I've got tickets

On stranger tides - my review

Last Tuesday my friend Anneke and  I went to see Disney´s latest movie Pirates Of The Carribean 4: On Stranger Tides. I've been a big fan of the franchise, although part 3, At World's End, was a bit disappointing. So, now that Orlando Bloom isn't in the film anymore, what to expect? Obviously, this time it would all land on the shoulders of Johnny Depp, and I have to admit he was once again the star in his role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

The film has a good balance between adventure and humor, and unlike the previous one, this one isn't too long, without too many distracting side stories. There's one storyline: everybody (the British, the Spanish, and the pirates) is looking for the famous Fountain of Youth, which leads to a race against each other and the clock. While searching for the Fountain, Sparrow finds himself taken captured in London, meets Penelope Cruz and Captain Blackbeard, and gets attacked by angry mermaids.

All in all a great movie and a succesful reboot of the series. My only complaint is that the 3D effects are virtually non-existent, which makes the three euro's extra quite the rip-off. Other than that: great movie!

Broadway sings Tori

Tickets are now on sale at Telecharge for Broadway Sings Tori: A Benefit for RAINN. Taking place at New World Stages’ Stage 2 in New York City on Monday, June 27th, the concert features Christine Andreas, Celina Carvajal, Ben Cameron, Steven Cutts, Colleen Harris, Natalie Joy Johnson, Brian Nash (who some may remember having performed Boys for Pele and From the Choirgirl Hotel), Molly Pope, Kate Shindle, Katie Thompson and more! All proceeds from the event will go directly to RAINN, to help support their mission of assisting surviviors of sexual violence.

Two attacks

Hawaii County lifeguards re-opened two Kailua-Kona beaches Thursday after a morning flyover found no signs of a large shark in the area. Shark warning signs though will remain posted over the holiday weekend after two women were attacked this week.

Vote this way

Obviously, since I've been away from the internet for over a week, I haven't been able to post a new poll for you al to vote in, but now that I'm back, so are my polls! This week, let me know what you think of Lady gaga's new album Born This Way. Love it or hate it?

Voting's on!

Progress Live - review

Take That's massive Progress Live 2011 Tour kicked off at the Stadium Of Light in Sunderland last Friday, and by the looks of it, this show is even bigger than their already spectacular Circus Tour. Click here to read a review by British newspaper The Sun.

Aphrodite at the cinema

Aphrodite-Les Folies filmed live at London’s O2 Arena, is coming to a cinema near you soon! Dates for 3D screenings throughout the world to be announced in the coming days.

Filmed over two nights at London’s O2 Arena – this stunning concert film features Kylie’s biggest hits including “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”, “Spinning Around” and “Slow” – along with tracks from her latest Platinum selling album Aphrodite. From golden chariots, via flying angels to a spectacular water-feature finale - this is an epic show not to be missed.

Hopefully the film will be played in Dutch cinema's as well. After seeing the show twice for real, a 3D movie sure is the next best thing!

Last friday night

Katy Perry has just released the fifth single from her smash hit album Teenage Dream. The new single is one of my favorite songs from the album, called Last Friday Night. Check out the single cover above.

Born this way - my review

On Monday, May 23, Lady Gaga finally released her long awaited new album Born This Way, so obviously I bought it the day it came out. I've been waiting for this record ever since the two Monster Ball shows I attended, so there was a bit of a risk the album wouldn't be able to live up to its expectations, but fortunately, it does, and then some!

You've all heard the first three singles Born This Way, Judas and The Edge Of Glory, but those are only the tip of the iceberg. The whole record, with the exception of powerballad You And I, is one big dance party, albeit one with quite some political messages. Gaga's voice is in top form, and the songs, all of them, really work.

I didn't think Gaga could top her previous work on The Fame Monster, but she sure did! I can't wait for the Born This Way Tour, to hear the songs being played live.

Guess who's back

It took more than a week, but as of this weekend, I'm the proud owner of a new laptop, so my internet mtroubles are finally over. This means, among other things, I'm finally able to post new stuff on Totally Theo, which I will be doing this week, starting tonight. A lot has happened in the entertainment industry this past week, so grab a drink and keep checking back!

Boycott Water For Elephants

Elephant abuse is in the news again since Animal Defenders International released a 2005 video showing the abuse of Tai, the elephant who appears in the 2011 film "Water for Elephants."

While the American Humane Association certified that no animals were harmed during the making of the film, it doesn't literally mean that no animals were harmed. It just means that the filmmakers followed AHA guidelines. Two horses died during the making of "Flicka," but the film still earned the "No Animals Were Harmed" certification. AHA explains its certification:

Safety Representatives were on set to ensure the safety of the animals throughout production. After screening the finished product and cross-checking all animal action, we determined the film met or exceeded our PA-FILM-guidelines and is awarded the end credit disclaimer "No Animals Were Harmed".

In the case of "Water for Elephants", it's possible that no animals were beaten or shocked with electric prods during the making of the film, while the abuse took place earlier, during the training process. There's a six year gap between ADI's video and "Water for Elephants."

Regardless, as with any form of animal exploitation, abuse is a separate issue from whether we have the right to use animals. Just about anyone would say that elephants shouldn't be shocked with electric prods, calves shouldn't be kept in tiny veal crates, and carriage horses shouldn't be overworked. But animal rights is not about how well the animals are treated; it's about whether we have a right to use animals for our purposes. If Tai were never beaten or shocked with electric prods, she would still be a victim - imprisoned by the people who profit from her exploitation, forced to perform tricks instead of roaming and foraging for miles each day in the wild. It doesn't matter whether she was born in captivity or captured in the wild. Breeding an animal doesn't mean that that animal doesn't suffer in captivity.

I would really love to see the movie, because I enjoy watching any Robert Pattinson movie, but because of the reasons stated above, I will be skipping this one, and I am urging you to do the same. Please boycott Water For Elephants.

Ashton on Two and a half men

Now that it's quite obvious Charlie Sheen will never return to Two And A Half Men, it has now been announced none other than Asthon Kutcher will be replacing him on the show. It hasn't been announced yet if Ashton will be recast as Charlie Harper, of if he will be playing a brand new character, but let's face it...

Two And A Half Men will never be the same without Charlie Sheen, now will it?

The stars talk about Oprah

CNN was able to interview some celebrities, such as Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Usher and Alicia Keys about the final Oprah Winfrey Show. Check it out above.

Night Of Hunters - release dates

Several online music stores, including CD Wow, HMV and Play.com have added the much anticipated new Tori Amos album Night of Hunters to their catalog for pre-order, all mentioning a release date of Monday, September 26th. Given that CD Wow is Japanese and the other two are UK-based, a Monday release date would make sense and it follows that the North American release would be Tuesday, September 27th.

Amazon.com is now listing a deluxe edition of Night of Hunters that shows a release date, in the United States at least, of September 20th! It’s not yet available for ordering but you can sign up to get notified when it is.

The new Tori Amos era is near! I'm very excited about both the album and the tour, for which of course I have tickets!

A new day and a great cause

Five years ago, on the occasion of Celine Dion’s 500th performance of her ‘A New Day…’ show, a wax statue of Celine (pictured above together with the real Celine) was unveiled to the public at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Grévin Museum in Paris donated the statue of Celine wearing a navy blue dress and a copy of the splendid blue heart diamond necklace she wore while performing “My Heart Will Go On” at the Oscars.

The statue is still at the Colosseum, and anyone going to Las Vegas to see Celine’s new show can pose with it and have their photo taken. Funds raised from the sales of the photos will be donated to the Celine Dion Foundation which supports various charitable organizations dedicated to disadvantaged families and children.

What a great cause!

Top thrill dragster POV

As if my recommendations one post earlier weren't enough... check the POV (point of view) on ride video of the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. Amazing!

Top thrill dragster

Everyone who knows me in real life, knows I'm a huge rollercoaster fan, and I'm always looking for the most extreme versions of them (I should live in the United States, since the best ones are always in America). I thought I already knew the most extreme one, aptly called X2 (at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California) but this one, the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Ohio, looks even more extreme!

In its station, two trains are loaded simultaneously before both are dispatched to a separate track to wait for the launch. Each one is launched individually while two more enter the station to receive more passengers. While there, the ride's theme song, "Ready to Go" by Republica, is played.

To the left of the track is a "Christmas tree" light, similar to those employed at the starting line of a drag strip. A brief message is played to the riders to; "keep arms down, head back, and hold on." Once the train is prepared to launch, a motor revving sound effect is played and its magnetic braking fins are lowered from the launch track. It then launches, accelerating to a speed of 190 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Shortly after reaching its maximum velocity, the train begins its ascent up a 90-degree incline, twisting 90 degrees counter-clockwise before climbing over the 130 meter hill. Upon descending, the track twists 270 degrees before leveling out, allowing the train to be stopped by the magnetic brakes.

Flaunt it

Keira Knightley is on the cover of Flaunt magazine’s Issue #115. Here are some quotes from the interview:

On returning to theater in The Children’s Hour:
“It’s so alive. It’s your job every single night to make sure that it’s working. And no one can come in and make sure that it does. That’s interesting because it means you’re incredibly focused for two and a half hours, and if something goes wrong, you have to find a way to get out of it. That can be quite difficult in front of 800 people, so it’s quite exciting.”

On why she loves theater:
“I suppose I like the romance of it, because you never see the same play twice. There’s something extraordinary about something that’s lost—that you will only ever see it for that night and that night only. You’ll never see it again, and it’s not recorded, and so it’s kind of magic.”

On what’s next for her:
“Hopefully, at the end of the year, I’m going to do a film with Joe Wright, who I did Pride and Prejudice and Atonement with, but given the financial climate, nothing is ever for certain, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.”

Run the world (girls) - the video

Check out the brand new video for Beyonce's new single Rule The World (Girls), the lead single from her upcoming album '4'.

I kind of like the video, but the song still needs to grow on me. Not an instant love affair like the Sasha Fierce singles... What do you think?

Titanic 3D

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's doomed maiden voyage, Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox are re-releasing James Cameron's 1997 Oscar winner 'Titanic' on April 6, 2012. But that's not all! This time around, when Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet set sail, they'll be in 3D.

In a statement, Cameron said, "There's a whole generation that's never seen 'Titanic' as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. And this will be 'Titanic' as you've never seen it before, digitally re-mastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D. With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike."

Paramount will also be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2012. "Paramount has had the pleasure of introducing audiences to some of the all-time classics of cinema during that century of moviemaking and we cannot think of a better way to mark the occasion than with this re-release of 'Titanic'," Brad Grey, chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, said.

'Titanic' is the second highest-grossing film of all time. The film pulled in over $600 million in the U.S. and $1.2 billion overseas. Only 'Avatar,' also directed by Cameron, has earned more money in theaters, grossing $750 million domestically for a combined worldwide gross of nearly $2.8 billion.

I've seen the movie close to a hundred times, and I can't wait to see it in 3D!

Cinema against AIDS

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale arrive at the amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala, held at Hotel Du Cap on Thursday during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in Antibes, France. Gwen wore a L.A.M.B. (her very own fashion label) dress to the star studded event. Gwen and Gavin also hit the red carpet together at the Cannes premiere of The Tree of Life.

Starbucks goes Gaga

Lady Gaga and Starbucks are teaming up to promote Gaga's long awaited new album Born This Way, Check out the press release below:

Considering that Lady Gaga may be the world’s hottest star right now and an innovative creator unlike anyone we’ve seen, imagine our delight when we learned that she’s also a big Starbucks fan. Well Ms. Gaga, we happen to like you quite a lot, too.

So we’d be hard-pressed to let a cultural moment like this one – the May 23 global release of Lady Gaga’s new album, Born This Way – go by without a little something special.

On Monday there’ll be a Gaga takeover of the Starbucks Digital Network in partnership with Yahoo!, where we’ll be giving away a limited number of downloads for her new song “The Edge of Glory” to the first little monsters to claim them. And if one song isn’t enough to get your paws up, you can listen to the Special Edition of Born This Way all day. We’ll also be streaming an exclusive video of her singing an acapella rendition of “Born This Way.” To get on the SDN, just get on our free Wi-Fi at participating stores and go to starbucks.yahoo.com.

And for those of you who love a good puzzle, you don’t have to wait for May 23. We’ve just launched a unique digital game called SRCH. Along with the thrill of the hunt, there are some pretty sweet prizes and Lady Gaga has a featured role. The game lasts from May 19 to June 7, and there’s no purchase necessary to play. To get started, scan the code here with a QR code reader. (Need a QR reader? Conveniently, the My Starbucks iPhone app has one embedded in it). Have fun and good luck!

Coolness! Gaga is really good in marketing herself, and together with Starbucks, no doubt this will be a huge success!
