It's almost time

The United States Senate could act this week on a bill that would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to repeal DOMA and force the recognition of same-sex marriages. The Senate's bill to repeal DOMA, which holds that marriage is between one man and one woman, is called the "Respect for Marriage Act".

The Respect for Marriage Act was introduced in the Senate by Dianne Feinstein (D-California) and the House by Jerrold Nadler (D-New York). Good for them!
